Collision Repair: Moonlight White (QAA)

I am going to be picking my car up from the bodyshop tomorrow.
From what I have read the Moonlight White/QAA can be very difficult to match.

Has anyone been happy with their colour match?

For those wondering, a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus tried to cross the road in front of me and I hit them in the side. My front bumper cover and spoiler are getting repainted. G37 1 / Cirrus 0.

Sorry to hear about your run in with that Chrysler.

Almost a year ago to the day my wife hit a deer in her QAA sedan. Local Infiniti dealership had the car for 7 weeks. It was well worth the wait in my opinion as the whole front clip was replaced and painted. Match is about as perfect as I could have hoped for.

Hopefully you'll have a nice sunny day to see your car prior to signing off on the repair. It's almost impossible to get a 100% perfect match on that type paint but for those not knowing that your car was fixed they should be able to blend it well enough that it wouldn't be obvious. Since you'll know exactly where the damage is it will be hard to fool you, but hopefully under good natural light at all angles the blend will be sufficient. If not, don't sign off until you're satisfied.

Overall, everything turned out great. In the sun, the colour match is very good. In overcast skies, it looks a little off, but only I notice it.

The quality of the paint job is fantastic and they detailed the car. Too bad I picked it up in a snow storm and it is now covered in salt.

I believe there are 14 different variants of QAA. Two jihadist deer hit my car last Thanksgiving just causing cosmetic damage down the driver side of the car. Long story short, after one repair shop screwed it up, the entire car, except for the roof, was stripped and repainted. Thank you State Farm
