Rearview Monitor is standard on all models. Those wheels, though... someone along the line swapped those in for the non-Sport 17" wheels the car originally came with. Who knows for what reason.

So anyway... you've got a Journey Nav. I bet if there were an Infiniti Salesperson here on the forum these days (that happens sometimes), he or she might say that most all G's since 2011 came over with the Premium Package by default. Mostly.

No worries... you've got a great car. Excellent platform for basic mods, and lots of creature comforts out of the box.

OP said he didn't have nav, so I'm guessing this is just the base Journey without Premium Package. Although he does have Bose, which could have easily been installed by the previous owner.

Anyway, you've got a unique model! Lots of potential here.

LOL I completely misread what he wrote about Nav. Yeah, base-model Journey.

Thanks for the info! I'm coming from a European background for the last 20 years. I know we could post the VIN (At least with my Bimmers and I think my Audi) and it would give the exact info about the car. Is that the same with these? I'd love to know for sure.

@the93owner - It definitely is unique and I do like it. I was just disappointed about the SR. Looking forward to making it my own.

@Rochester - I was told by the Infiniti Dealership that the Journey is a slightly longer wheelbase than standard. I see nothing to indicate that so what is the difference between models? I'm of course aware of the Sport and X Sport, but I was originally going for an M37 and changed my mind as I just don't need that big of a car anymore. But most of my research was there. Plus the reduced weight and similar power of the G was very appealing.

The Journey was the base model. There was no "longer wheelbase" model in the G35/G37/Q40. Someone was blowing smoke up your skirt on that one, buddy. There were three models:

Journey
RWD only, badged as G37. If it had the Sport Package then it was badged as the G37S and came out of the box with LSD, big brakes, sport steering, sport suspension, seats, wheels, tires and all the trim. The Journey Sport was a solid bang-4-buck choice for people who wanted a sporty slushbox.

AWD
Badged as G37x. If it had the Sport Package, then it was badged as the G37xS. However, on the AWD the Sport Package was appearance only. The G37xS was a rope-a-dope of sport package trim.

6MT
Badged as G37S, and exactly the same as the Journey Sport, but with the Manual Transmission. As of 2011, the Premium & Nav Packages came on the 6MT as standard equipment, which made it the top-of-line model starting that year. Prior to 2011, it was possible to find a 6MT without Premium/Nav, but super rare. And ending in 2009, there was a 4WAS option available on the G... I think it was another option package all by itself, but don't quote me on that one.

There was also an Anniversary Edition for 2010 and Limited Edition in 2011 & 2012, both of which were basically just a G37 with sport package, special colors, and a few extra included accessories.

OK, I didn't believe the extended wheel base crap anyway. I appreciate the info. I was pretty much on point but thrown for a real loop when I saw this one w/o the SR...

That's right. Specialty things like Monaco Red Leather, and Malbec Black paint.

OP, here's my brain-dump on the G37 history: the old G35 Sedan had a full redesign in 2007 through 2008, with an upgrade to the VQ35HR. In 2009, the Sedan changed badges as the G37, with a mechanical upgrade to the VQ37HR and the 7AT. (I say sedan, because the Coupe did the G37 upgrade in 2008, while retaining the old 5AT.) Then in 2010, the Sedan had a trim upgrade in the bumpers, headlights, grille and some interior features.

For the Sedan only, 2013 was the last year of the 6MT and the Sport Package (both real and appearance-only). And in 2014 through 2015 the old G37 Sedan was renamed the Q40, while the old G37 Coupe was renamed Q60.
