So, what did the G37 owners upgrade to?
Miata Is Always The Answer. At least if you have good roads and/or tracks around you.
I've got a 94 Miata that I love- it's the car that made me realize how much upgrading a suspension can change a car's dynamics. Yes- people refer to it as an old man (or worse) car but I love it. Got mine with only 42K miles on it in 08 and it's only at 65 right now.
That Carmax plan sounds pretty good if indeed it's a solid warranty package. That opens up a lot of cars that would otherwise be too risky to buy w/ a limited warranty.
Most of the higher end MBs, BMWs, and Audis would be nice upgrades, would love a C63AMG someday so hmmmmm.

If I had space for 2 vehicles, I'd likely have something like a turbo NB MX-5, and a Wrangler or something. But since I only have space for one car the G gets to be some kind of middle ground.
Fixed that for you, Epiphany.
Or, I fixed it for me.
I think most people upgrade within the scope of what's familiar. That was my case, with Nissan, and always in the context of also (or primarily) being a daily driver. But if I had a three-car garage, I probably wouldn't have ended up where I am with this Infiniti. There would be an un-tracked weekend car in the garage, like an old Chevelle SS, or a classic Firebird. Something loud, crude and dangerous on the turns, no doubt.
No regrets, however. Absolutely love my 6MT.

O ok, yea I didnt think about that one! I'm not much into aftermarket support anyways as I dont really mod cars for performance or I would have just dropped a $10k supercharger on my $16k G37 that I already own
instead of buying a ~$25k used car.
Well, I appreciate the options peeps, now the dreaded listing and selling the car privately begins....

Had an 09 37x sedan then got a 12 37xs coupe. Finally went to the dark side ala BMW. picked up a new F30 335i back in October. Full Dinan stage 2 along with catless fabspeed exhaust haven't looked back since. I loved my Infiniti's but in my opinion the Germans are just a step ahead when it comes to overall feel and performance.
I still have my g37 for another year but just got a 2016 Cadillac CTS Luxury as the wife wanted something different than her SRX. I only have the Top Speed exhaust but she loves the growl of the exhaust on my G. I guess its somewhat of a fair trade when we have to drive each others cars now. Sometime in the next year or so also want to pick up a Honda S2000.
