How to reset oil service reminder miles back to 3000?

I change my own oil but use the reminder in the car to check viscosity, color, smell, etc.

When it came up at 3000 the other day I messed up and instead of resetting back to 0, I moved the miles up and am currently at XXXX/17,000...I was hoping it would go back to a lower number but I gave up at 17k.

Is there an easy way to lower that 17,000? I did check owners manual for a bit and did not see anything I liked then had to run back inside.

Thanks!

That doesn't work for the one in the cluster but it eventually defaulted back to 0 miles once I hit (I think it was) 18,000 miles. So close, yet so far.
