I called up the local infiniti dealer to inquire about the q50s or the red sport 400 in rwd only. Closest dealer that actually has one in stock is in TN! All they have in the midwest is awd.
That's got fail written all over it. Told him it's hard to consider a car without test driving it. He agreed, but that's what sells around here.

I was being serious. This board is about sharing information. There was no information in OP, only hearsay defamation. Car owners can be very subjective -- my dreamboat is your trash heap. Unless we know what the neighbor didn't like, we can make no objective determination if the statement has value to us.
I took my G in for AC service this week and had a 2016 Q50 loaner car. My quick take away was the tech was a huge improvement, the seats were WAY more comfortable, the surfaces which you touch inside are made of much nicer materials, and overall the fit/finish felt much tighter with few rattles. Driving the car, it did not feel much different, the electric steer in sport mode as well as the throttle response felt perfect.
I guess I can consider myself an example of someone who can provide some information regarding this question...
Coming from a 2013 G37xS and now leasing a 2015 Q50S AWD, I have to agree that the Q50S is a better all around vehicle compared to my previous G37xS sedan.
The reason why I say this is that Infiniti did it right this time around with the Sport version for the Q50S AWD!
Sport suspension and Sport brakes are now included in the package which was omitted from the G37xS.
The handling stock is comparable to my G37xS after suspension mods and now with a few mods on the Q50S, it surpasses the G37xS in handling.
The only mod not done on the Q50S is that it is stock height and not lowered like the G37xS on Swift Sport springs.
Upgraded Stillen rear sway bar, Tanabe FSTB and 25mm spacers has been added to the stock Sport suspension..."driving on rails" with hardly any body lean.
This is only my personal opinion based on my own experience with both the G37xS and the Q50S AWD.
The technical/improved interior on the Q50 is no doubt a major plus compared to the G37xS.
Now with the 2016+ VR twin turbo engines, the Q50S will be heading in the right direction.

After driving my new G for only a month, I took it to the dealer to try to track down that shifting problem I was having, and they gave me a Q50 as a loaner for a week.
Very comfortable car. The interior felt a little more techy and luxo-cool than the G's. I liked being able to change the performance characteristics on the fly (although after tinkering with it a bit, I ultimately left it in the default setting and didn't change it again). It feels bigger, more spacious on the inside.
But the performance was not the same. The G has a certain immediacy to its acceleration off the line that the Q does not share. When I got my G back after a week with the Q, I realized how much I'd missed its boy-racer snap and kick. Also, while the cabin feels a little smaller in the G, I actually preferred this. I like how the G fits me. The Q didn't give me that same sports-car cockpit feel. It felt like an upscale sports sedan, with more emphasis on "cool" than on "fun to drive".
The Q50 is a fine car and I may own one in the future, but I wouldn't buy one to replace my G37 just because it's newer. I have way too much fun driving my G to want to give that up.
