How do you remove A-pillar trim panel?

So I am looking to run a wire down the driver's side A-Pillar area. I have taken A-pillar trim off on other cars, and it's usually no big deal. On the G37 there's a green clip that prevents removal. I took a look at the service manual, it says to cut and replace it?!? I am guessing it's something to do with the airbag system?

How have you guys dealt with removal? Anyone know where I can pick a new clip up?

Pull it off and there will be a clip that you'll have to turn to make it easier to come out... But it's held in by push clips.
