Exhaust Question. 11 G37 Sedan

IMO, the GTHaus and ARK Grip exhaust are the best sounding systems... However, I am not about to drop $1.5 - $2k on an exhaust. Any suggestions on systems that sound similar to those 2 that won't run over $1k? I searched already. Nothing that answered my question.

Is yours an X model? I watched the classifieds for a month or so before a $1200 one came up for $550. That's probably your best bet if you're not in a hurry and want a good setup without paying a premium.

I've got a Fast Intentions exhaust that is coming off my sedan that will be going in the classifieds if you're interested. It's full 2.5" piping from the RHFC's to the exhaust tip. Most systems for the sedan are 2.25".

Hi Paul,

Honestly I haven't even gotten that far yet for pricing. I'll think on it and come up with a price that's fair.

It does get very nice compliments especially by car people and they're always surprised by how deep it sounds.

I have the resonated high flow cats as well if you're interested. I would absolutely move them over to my Q50 without reservation if they fit the vehicle but everything says that's not possible unfortunately.

Here's a video of a cold start on my car:

Here's the review thread I did on the exhaust as well with lots of details.

I'd be curious to know where you are getting the GT Haus Exhaust for 2k, I'm assuming that is just muffler? I live in Canada and Although the dollar is not doing very well, muffler, y pipe, mid pipe and tips is costing me just over to 5k.

I'd highly recommend searching youtube for some sound clips, as what you will like is highly dependant on you. In my opinion, if there is something you want, save up and wait for it. My 2 cents.

Pretty sure the AWD cats are different than the RWD, so unless you're asking about this for a friend...

But that's off the top of my head, and I could be wrong. Research this, Calidoso.

I've been mulling it over for a solid week, with the decision keeping me up late. It's been a tough decision, a tougher one than I've ever anticipated. I start a thread about it because there's a lot that went into it. But I won't be able to leave the forum though...that's just not going to happen. Too many good friends here that I've followed through their builds and that I still want to follow.

I'll be staying here and chilling with you guys. Have you ever got that feeling when a forum just feels like home?

also another thing to add if you plan on getting an ARK catback or any other cat back most are 2.5" it helps to grab 2.5" RHFC as well from a coupe. That is what I did to pair up with my ARK CBE

You say that now, and I believe that you mean it. But you're going to take everything that you learned about the G into the Q50 forum and hit the ground running. New car, new mods, new forum friends. It probably won't even matter if 80% of the members there are leasing their car and talking about window tint.

It's all good. Don't worry about it.

I prefer this one though. Man, if I knew there would be so many intangibles tied to the car, that you just can't quantify, I don't know that I'd do it. I'm supposed to be headed to the shop now.

I think for my own needs, I will still be a regular around here.
