Well, not the whole wheel. But if you had a little vertical strip of saddle at 12:00, that would tie it together.

That would be really cool if there was someone to match the paddle leather, the GTR **** is red though as the colors are deceiving, it almost changes colors under the light as when its dark its more maroon but when theres light on it or its bright outside its a bright red. Im going to tie the red GTR start button and shift **** with my steering wheel stitching when I get my new wheel skin put on, I will ask if they can wrap my paddles while they're at it.

They?

Perhaps if they had them in their hands, the assessment of what they can or can't do with them would be different. If not leather or vinyl, then perhaps a textured, maroon paint.

Now that I think about this a second time, that really would look cool. If I had flappy paddles...

I plan on taking it to a auto leather shop here in town, I just moved so I am not sure who I will take it to but when I pick a shop I will ask them when I drop my car off. Also id love to trade you for a 6 speed haha. My last car was a 6 speed and had it for 4 years but I couldnt find a manual and got a great deal on mine.

Here it is with the ring attached to the boot, finished minus a carbon fiber wrap later on.

So if the shift pattern on the top is bothering anyone you can fill it in with bondo then sand it down and paint it again and it will give you a cleaner look just a FYI

I like my M45 as I rest my hand on it a lot and the button would always be being pressed however I do like the GT-R. Probably 3x as much as my used M45.

I rest my hand on my shifter and previously was using an m45 shift **** and it is easily as comfrotable if not more mainly because of the lowered height. The button takes a good amount of pressure to depress so it's not really an issue tbh or atleast hasn't been for me.

No I used a flexible plastic & fabric glue that will come off both the boot and shifter when I'm done or when I wrap it so I don't damage either but will hold them together unless I really pull on it.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of my new Nismo **** next to my old perforated M45 ****. I know the angles.aren't exactly the same but it still has a good comparison of height of the shifter, shape and look in the cabin with the boot to help others if interested in this mod.

So do I. The shift boot is a little shiny in comparison, though.

Original? Vinyl?

Thanks man, I do love it. A lot more than I expected. The shift pattern on the **** bothers me less than I expected as that held me back from pulling the trigger on it for over a year. In person it's less noticeable, especially for non-car enthusiasts. I do however want to wrap it in CF 3m vinyl later on.

Thanks! I think it may be the lighting. It's the original 10yr old boot in both pics, I do wipe it down with leather cleaner/conditioner often though ha gotta keep her clean!
