A Lost Key Story

Couldn't react in time as I watch my keys slide down between the seat and console. Get out to retrieve them from under the seat and they're gone. 30 mins of sliding seat back and forth and still can't find them. So I drive to dealership and their guys spend another 15 mins to no avail. "Are u sure it wasn't the passenger side u dropped them on?" If it were under the seat or stuck in one of the tracks we would've at least seen something." They ended up removing the driver seat to eventually get the keys out. They were positioned in such a way that retrieval without seat removal would have been impossible.

On the bright side, I now know how to remove my driver seat for when it comes time to install that RJM Clutch Pedal. Been rockin that spring for too long.

I used to have an Acura TL and it was WAY worse than the G. If you dropped something...good bye! Your taking the seat out! I used that area as a filing cabinet of sorts so nothing could get down there.
I have two of these:

Not sure this would have helped my situation since no part of the key was visible and we wouldn't know where to grab but very cool tool nonetheless

I lost my motorcycle key in the same area, it slipped from my pocket when I sat in my wife's car, I had a spare key but I kept searching for 2 month in my car inside the house and ordering a new key from Ebay.

I found the damn key 2 month after in her car when I was cleaning it.
