What do you guys think?
Roof looks great but lets see how well it holds up. Had a buddy wrap his twice because it didn't last a year out here in the SoCal heat and they "supposedly" used 1080P vinyl.

Sorry not a fan of plastidip but it looks decent. Why not debadge?

Very nice. Thanks for the input. We're looking for something a little older, since it will be a 5th vehicle and mainly just used for hauling the dogs, so my wife was looking for one similar to your 2007.

Hmm? 4x5 is not enough! I order a roll of vinyl 4x5 but it's a couple inches short.

How long did it take to do the roof? Did you remove the shark fin and how hard was it to pull down the headliner without bending it and leaving a crease? I want to do this to my roof, window trim and black out my grille.

I dropped the passenger rear corner to get to the shark fin. I removed the back corner trim by the rear window, r/r grab handle, door seal, and the b pillar trim. The antena is held on with a 17mm nut and the plug is a pita. Just pull the headliner down enough to get to the plug and nut. Any creases will come out after a while. If you are going to do the grill, check out this company called Autodip. I did my grill and it is holding up really well.

Honestly, patience is your best friend. You have to take your time. I had to learn the hard way and it took me three times to do it. The first time the roof of the car was to cold and the vinyl shattered while trying to stretch it. The second time we rushed it and trapped a bunch of air in the wrong spot so we couldn't get it out. When we finally did, it left a huge crease. The third time we took a good amount of the day, took breaks , and it came out awesome.

Did you do it in the sun? How warm was the ideal temp?

To remove the shark fin antenna I just pulled down the rear of the headliner without removing any panels. There are just 4 or 5 metal spring clips holding it in place if I recall correctly. If you just pull down sharply on these it should give you enough clearance to reach you arm behind the headliner and remove the nut and connector. I accidentally pulled too hard one time to make room for my arm and got a very slight crease, but as Raegen mentioned, the crease comes out over time and was barely noticeable a week later..

Were you able to wrap the fin also, paint it.....???

Sorry, didn't read back far enough about finding a used black one on ebay, but if one isn't out there new one is costly. Guess I'm still wondering will it wrap or need to paint, anyone....????

How's the sound quality of the radio with the eBay shark fin ? I replaced the horse buggy antennae on my Mazda with a shark fin and while it made the car look a lot better my radio quality went to crap.
