It could be UV exposure on the 09 has faded it somewhat. This is why paint matching on cars a few years or more older can be difficult.

I once had a new 1999 Nissan Maxima SE 5MT in Pearl White, and I kept the paint clean and waxed, garaged every night, but in a parking lot during the day.

On the third year, after getting rear-ended, I had to have the trunk repaired. There was just no getting that new bumper properly color matched by the dealership's body shop, and I kept taking it back. Finally, I just learned to accept that "pearlescent" (word?), three stage paints get a luster to them over the years that is almost impossible to color match.

Two years ago, for my Moonlight White G37, I had my front grille custom painted, black on the inside, and Moonlight White around the perimeter. I gave them my fuel-door flap so they could color match, and yet...

It is what it is. An imperfect thing.

Colors do fade, but the other issue you may have is the paint on plastic (your splashguards) will look a bit different than on the metal of your fenders. I notice this on brand new cars too. The plastic bumpers look to be a slightly different color than the metal fenders, hood, trunk, etc even though they were painted by the same paint booth
