Yeah, I'm probably just going to mount it up and see how it looks. Family is all sick, though, so it won't be for a couple days at least.

Yeah, assuming it fits into the proper place and sounds good, it's definitely a bargain. The quality actually looks pretty good, to my untrained eye.

So here's the moment everyone has been waiting for...

Exhaust is installed and I have a few miles on it. Initial thoughts? It's not bad at all!

The install was painless. Everything lined up (against all odds) flawlessly. No joke. Better fitment than the Top Speed. It lines up beautifully, with no tweaking whatsoever. None at all. The tips are a bit smaller than the TS, which is a bummer, but they look good and center nicely.
The only issue was that the cross brace couldn't go back on, as the junction between the y section with the resonators & the midpipe fell exactly at that location and would rest on the brace if I tried to put it on. I left it off for now. I might try to get something fabricated to replace it... we'll see.

And the sound? It's louder than the TS by a good bit, and doesn't peter out at the top of the rev range like the TS. It sounds more "burbly" than the TS, and has a higher tone. It reminds me of the "Subaru sound" mixed with G37. I like it, but it is very different than the TS. I do wish it was a touch deeper, though.

I'm interested how the sound will change as I get more miles on the car.

I have a set of Berk HFCs ready to put on, but I'm wondering if it would get super raspy with this CBE. Time will tell, I guess.

Here are some photos and a video:

You can see where the brace would go, and how it would sit right on that junction. No good.

Pics aren't showing up, just a circle w/ a minus sign in the middle
The sound clip sounds good, and the tips look alright, just takes some getting used to after having the larger ones. Look forward to more pics, and glad you have positive feedback w/ good fit & finish. Seems like a very good option, even better, than the TopSpeed. And nice to now about the full rpm sound. Going by what you know w/ the factory Y pipe and now this new Y-H hybrid pipe, do you think this would also clear the transfer case for AWD models? Would be nice to have another option for the X-ers.

I think that sounds pretty good. It reminds me of a g37 coupe with MagnaFlow mufflers.

Oops. Just started using Google Photos. Thought I could directly link. Guess not. Fixed with imgur links.

Can't imagine it would. Not sure where the xfer case is, but I'm guessing within the Y of the Y-pipe? If so, not a chance. The J2 Y is much shorter to make room for those massive resonators.

Thanks for the pics, count me as impressed Looks to be a great fit overall, and agree about that lack of room up front for an AWD application.

Thanks for being the test mule, looks like another option, and a good one for those wanting a true dual exhaust for the price of some axle back sets.

Update this as time goes on, would be a helpful addition, and if you want to cut & paste the pic/review post you made and start a thread in the review folder, that would be

No drone. With the stock cats it's suitably loud, but no drone anywhere in the rev range.

The fit and finish looks surprisingly good, especially around the mufflers, which is where I've seen some of the TSP models diminish over time. Do you think the brace is actually needed? The resonators are full length, which is why the sound is relatively docile. Shorter resonators will make the exhaust louder, as will larger diameter piping (which also introduces drone in some instances). Nice write-up. Question. Did the packaging come with any form of support/contact information? Since they are in Socal, I tried to look these guys up once and talk to them and hit a dead end.

Can you tell a difference in performance? Is it much louder than OEM cruising at 70?

Yeah, it looks pretty good. Not sure about the brace. It obviously ties the two sides of the chassis together, but I'm not convinced it adds too much rigidity.

Searching Google for DNA Motoring came up with company info. If you click on their main site, there are a few phone numbers. Good luck.

Wonder if you could just order that split Y pipe, that would be a nice part to mod for my exhaust.

Maybe... Though at this price point, the added overhead of getting individual parts vs the whole set probably wouldn't pencil for them.
Worth a shot, I guess.

And I'll post a thread in the review forum when my new cam comes in next week and I have time to get some extra/ better footage.
