They are tilted, but by design. The J2 logo on the side of the tip is in the middle on the side, so clearly this is how they wanted it.

Worth a shot, I guess.

And I'll post a thread in the review forum when my new cam comes in next week and I have time to get some extra/ better footage.
Any more sound clips ?

Not yet. It's raining, so I don't feel like pulling the car out only to have to re-detail it.

I'll try to get to it when it dries out.

Is it me, or is that a pretty sizeable taper after the resonator?

One could argue that replacing the piping between the resonator and muffler with 2 1/4 would be an excellent upgrade over stock. Maybe add shorter resonators as well.

It looks like this exhaust would flow better than the Top Speed from the design of it but the Top Speed sounds better IMHO. This sounds a bit higher pitched. Would adding another set of resonators after the Y pipe deepen the sound you think? I like the design of the J2 better.

Not a good look on a sedan IMHO. The cans could be more oblong and flatter to be more flush and discreet. Surprised that some of these manufacturers don't take this into account.

I agree. The more I look at it on my car I don't like it.

I will be taking Blnewt's suggestion and black out the cans sometime in the next few weeks. I'll post a pic when I get it done.

What kind of paint are you using? Is it the rubberized undercoating?

No. Just a high heat enamel like this.

Here's my black can DIY, and the paint is still holding up just fine. IMO looks much better than big bright cans. I don't think those J2 cans will look bad at all once they're blacked out.

Curious to see how it turns out. I'm usually not looking at my exhaust, though... Everyone else is!

I think these J2 tips could be replaced with a bit bigger tip and would be set. I just installed the Tanabe mufflers on my coupe and love the size.
