AFP Assembly Problem *HELP*

Today I decided to attempt the installation of my RJM AFP clutch assembly. The installation went smoothly for the most part until towards the end when I bumped the clutch master cylinder which caused the rubber boot and push rod to come off of the cylinder body and the piston assembly to come out, causing some fluid to leak out. I am unable to re-attach the rubber boot to the body; it seems like I am incorrectly installing the snap ring. Also, should I be concerned about the fluid that leaked out? It wasn't much but still worth noting. I am unable to continue with the install until I can get the push rod and rubber boot securely attached to the body. I am by no means a mechanic but thought I would attempt the install and now I am in need of some expert opinions if someone can please point me in the proper direction of how I should proceed. Thanks in advance.

You may be better off simply replacing the broken MC with a new one. It's not that expensive and it would be bad if you repaired yours and reinstalled everything only to discover that it's not working properly due to the damage.

It doesn't seem broken. It looks like I just need to re-attach the push rod to the MC some how. I know the snap ring has something to do with it but cannot figure out where to attach it to.
