Ouch! New bumper needed.

So I decided I wanted to park near a tree for some shade today at Autozone. Put my self over a curb sticking out .

Ouch, I wonder if a front chin spoiler would cover most of that up

It's interesting and a little disturbing that you both are discussing this.

Just ten hours ago I scraped the driver's side corner of my chin spoiler on a curb. Forgive me for not posting a pic...still too painful.

I was pulling into a 100' VERY narrow blind drive to a parking lot and lo-and-behold there was a painter engaged in his profession. There was no sidewalk for him to stand on so he was there in the drive. He jumped ten feet in the air and I jumped 9" to the left and contacted the curb before stopping.

Very annoying, but I have no one to blame but myself. I was driving, and I should always prepare for the unexpected. And in the end, some fixable damage is MUCH better than a flat painter.

Makes me feel a lot better about the curb I bumped into while parking today, just a small scratch on my front bumper.

I hate bumper scratches. They seem to be the most common but also the most visible. Just a few weeks ago my buddy borrowed my other friends Camaro and scraped my parked car with it while pulling out. Ultimate "sucks for everyone" move.

Didn't even think about that! I did find this thread below. Look at the #2 post. Top of the chin spoiler ends at the bottom of the fog lights. Close to where mine was damaged.

Looks like it would cover at least all but the upper 1/4" or maybe the whole damaged section. Plus you'd have a better looking front end to boot
And the OEM chin spoilers are factory painted so they'll match perfectly.

And if you decide to go that route (which is an excellent suggestion BTW), order online at the Infiniti site and use ESTORE2015 for a discount of 15% for up to $300 and 25% for anything over $300.

I used Grubbs Infiniti for mine so I didn't have to pay sales tax. I did get hit with shipping, which my local dealer charges as well. Either would come to my house. My local doesn't seem to do pick-up with the ESTORE orders.

Do you guys think I can push out that dent with a heat gun? Saw a few videos on YouTube. I just want to get it back to its old shape or as close then install a chin spoiler.

If you can get the front lifted on jackstands you can remove the plastic underpan and should have some room to press out on that damaged area. If you can get soem leverage from the backside combined w/ a heatgun or even a hair dryer set on high you may be able to get it back close to where it was. I wouldn't wait too long as it's easier to get it back the quicker you act. The bumper itself isn't too tough to remove, but if you can get to it without removing it I'd try that first.

Another thing, could I bend this tab that's inside the fender without removing the fender? Tried pushing it up on the bumper but it wouldn't budge.
