^^^You have the same tire specs I do. You are about the same offset but you got me by an inch in the rear (Please no joke here). I am planning on getting the Tein's and not lowering the rear. I have a feeling I will need to have some camber to get the wheel to tuck under the fender if I go to lower it. I have 2 small girls and 2 teenage niece's. I also tend to do all of the shopping in my car so that means loads of stuff in the trunk. I will not lower the rear if that means any rubbing out back.

The rears poke. That's part of why I initially lowered the car, for the neg camber. However, the rear drop was too low for my preference, so I'm hoping to actually raise the rears to match the fronts (or thereabouts), at 26.75" floor to fender. Another 1/8" or so in rake won't kill me, as long as I can bring in the camber so there's no poke... hence the rear camber kit. I suspect having the rears at desired height with a -2.0* camber +/- will be a good target to shoot for. Right now things are whacked, (longer story), and the driver's rear is actually at -2.7* camber, with freakishly perfect flush fitment in the context of the height. When it comes back up, that kind of camber won't be necessary.

I have two girls, too. One teen, the other pre-teen. However, 99% of the time it's just me in the car, and rarely anyone in the back seat, with a virtually empty trunk.

Most of the poke is down the sidewall of the tire, because they're a pretty normal configuration, without stretch. And OMG obsessing over this crap is enough to drive you nuts! LOL

hey guys new to all this ...i was wondering if my 2009 g37x with no mods...can put this dimension of rim on it...17inch Silver BSA Rims with 215/45/17 tires
bolt pattern 5x114.3 et40
center bore 73mm .....and would it look good in your opinion,,,if you know what the better specs would be ...plz let me know...asap ...as i am looking to get rims very soon...thx,,,

No, I'm saying the dampers will have full travel w/ the coilovers rather than OEM dampers that have a shortened travel since the lowering springs are shorter than OEM springs. Hope that makes sense.

Oh-h-h-h. Because of the lowering springs, the OEM shocks are already depressed over an inch further in than they are intended to at uncompressed height. Whereas the Tein shocks are designed to operate similarly throughout the top 1.5" to 2.0" (based on the depth of the adjustment threads.) That's what you're saying, right? Now I understand.

And if you get the Tein Basis you'll have to lower the rear some, unless you plan on just using the front coilovers for now. I think if you were to lower it in the 1" range you should have camber you can live with as long as your toe is set OK. You should be OK as far as rubbing, I was right at the fender when I had my 295s and even hauling bags of concrete it wasn't a problem, granted I wasn't flying down the road but you get the idea.

blnewt what where you doing with bags of concrete in the back!?!
The seller I got the springs from allowed me to return them today. Once he gets them he will send me an invoice with the balance for the Tein Basis. I would love the lower the back 1" and the front a bit more. I'll start a "build thread" later tonight once I compile some pics.

Well my truck got smashed into last year and there was a brief moment where that's all I could use, lol.
You won't have any problems w/ clearance since you're running the 9" rears w/ 275s. I'm dropped to 26.25 " in back (and front) essentially zero fender gap and run 10" +45 on 295s (previously) and now 285s, no rubbing or clearance issues and this is at -1.0 camber.
If you look at the Tein specs here (it says coupe but they're also the sedan springs)
TEIN USA | COILOVER KIT & SPRING KIT SEARCH ?INFINITI?G37 COUPE?2008+?STREET BASIS
The area shaded in green is the "safe range" for optimum performance and damper longevity. If you notice the minimum range is 1.4" front and 1" rear, this should result in a perfect mild drop w/ a slightly raked stance, I think you'd be very happy w/ that amount of drop, it will look right and be easy to deal with for daily driving.

BTW guys this is the stance I am wanting. I know I don't have a Sport and I am not sure if he has 20"s but this is the look I am going for.

Yeah, that's pretty low. Easily a 2" drop, and not something I want. Fortunately for the OP, those CO's will allow him to dial it in wherever he wants.

BTW, that's Lorenzo's car... parked across no less than three handicapped spots like a boss.
