The Mod Bug Bites Again - Update 1

Well, I have been a bit of a lurker here for a while. I am new to the G37. I just picked up a slightly used (17,xxx miles) black G37x Sedan in March. It seems to have all the options like Bose, Nav, Keyless, etc.. So far, I have been enjoying the car quite a bit, but it is time for some changes. After doing my research here, this is what I am doing:

1. Custom 2.25" exhaust being installed next Tuesday with Magnaflow resonators, Magnaflow X pipe and Borla mufflers. I went this route because I like the idea of it being custom built to the car and it saved me a couple hundred bucks over the Stillen or Fast Intentions exhaust.
-Installed and sounds great. I will post a video soon. I think the sound is
classy. Not too aggressive.

2. Stillen Gen3 CAI. Ordered and should be arriving tomorrow.

- Installed yesterday. Defiantly makes a difference. Went the route of pulling the front fascia because I wanted to wrap the AC lines well and take my time with the install. Put foam tape in a few places to minimize rattles.

3. Swift springs. Ordered and should be getting soon.

- Received and will be going in Tuesday with wheels and tires. I decided to go with Nitto Motivos in a 245/40/19. I have read a lot of good things about the Motivos. I would recommend folks add it to their research list when looking for new tires.

4. Niche Misano 19x8.5 +33 wheels. Ordered and should be getting soon.

5. Appointment for window tint. Probably going to go 35-40% all the way around. May help me avoid unwanted attention from the cops and will hopefully match the Anthracite color of the wheels well.

6. Will probably do the vinyl wrap on the chrome trim soon. Again in grey to hopefully match the wheels.

Thanks to everyone for posting so much valuable information on this board. I have always enjoyed the forums quite a bit. I used to be a very active member in my Mazda forum/club when I had my Mazdaspeed 3 and 95 NA M edition Miata.

In a few weeks, when everything is done, I will post some pictures.

I've been making the recommendation that someone go custom with Borla mufflers for years, and AFAIK you're the first sedan guy here on the forum to do it.

Definitely subbed for results.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was constantly doing something to my Mazdaspeed 3 when I had it.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I have posted some updates above. The tips I got in the forum truly made the CAI install easier.

Nice, look forward to pics once you get it all together. Glad you found those install tips helpful. I just got some Nitto 555 summers and they have been a nice upgrade over my previous A/S treads.
