Hello looking into getting advice on a 2011 liquid platinum G37sedan 7 Speed for sale with only 28,800 miles from a dealer out of town. I currently own a G37 S Coupe 6 Speed and about to sell it and was looking for a sedan and this one caught my eye. First of all what should I look for on the test drive, I'm not mechanically inclined but do know somewhat on hearing for noises, testing the brakes, etc. Car fax is excellent with one owner, prior lease vehicle and 10 service records at infiniti of Santa Monica. Car has been in the lot for 134 days tho I'm surprised. I just don't want to end up with a bad car but car fax is perfect and it has infiniti warranty until October bumper to bumper. There asking 22,700 out the door. I'll post links below and see if you guys can help me out. It's out of town about 1hr and half so that's why it's important because I have to test it out Sunday

Seems like a good price and they are desperate. Are you going to be happy with automatic though, coming from a 6 speed? Also, the journey package does not handle like the S so something to keep in mind.

I know I been trying to find an S Sedan and I can't find one, only one I found was a like two weeks ago and it was more expensive around 24k out the door with 50k miles so I declined it and I didn't sell my car yet either. I'm pretty bummed that I can't find an S but I'm not sure if I should wait there hard to come by here in AZ

And I'll manage to get used to the automatic won't be as happy since I love manual but I heard good things on the automatic and it'll be more comfortable in traffic, with my 6 speed I had to already change the clutch and flywheel and it cost me too much, and I got a z speed concentric slave cylinder and it's still doesn't disengage sometimes from a stop seems like it's sticking, I'm so done with my car lol Aamco did my my clutch replacement with all the cylinders and I'm still having issues so I wouldn't mind a 7 speed but To be honest won't be better than the 6 speed. Anyways I'm having a baby so I guess won't be a bad idea to have an automatic and I want to just add wheels, lower it and put as much bolt ons as I can in time

That's true but that would bring the price up and I wouldn't afford it, I am planning on buying an infiniti elite warranty in October, and the car was bought at an auction in California not sure if that's the reason it's not cpo. All the cpo I've seen cost like 24k plus dealer fees

That is smart but I'm already approved for the set amount and can't afford anymore, the bank is already has the loan ready I'm just waiting on this guy to finish his loan to buy my car and after that I would have to go to see that car and take it if I like it and everything turns out good.
For the 30k miles service I read on here as long as I do the fluids brake, differential, oil and oil filter I should be fine and I will be doing those at a trusted independent shop so I don't have to pay the ridiculous dealer fees

30k service for $800? Where's your dealer so I can avoid going to it. What are they exactly doing for $800? If that only involves changing brake and rear diff fluid, cabin air filter and drivebelt, that can be done for half that price at any reputable mechanic if you can't DIY. And 30K is too early for any of those things to be done. I'm assuming they're charging quite a bit for the infamous "brake inspection".
You are rushing things, bro. Wait until a 2010 S six speed shows up or something. My advice: Don't buy a used car that you are just able to afford with a baby on the way. I know you came here to talk about the car and I just gave you unsolicited life advice instead, but at least think about it.
OP, you're going to miss having the tighter steering ratio, and you might be missing having limited slip on a RWD car. You might also be pining after the Sport seats, but for sure every time you approach the car you're going to look at those little brakes with regrets. And since you already have a RWD-Sport Coupe, you know exactly what all that means.
Cast a wider net. Travel to get your car. Then sell your Coupe to CarMax.

Thanks everyone I totally agree coming from an S Coupe I definitely won't be as happy with a journey I will keep searching for an 2010 S for sure in my price range of I can
If this is the OP's only car? If so then getting a sedan as soon as he can is probably a good idea and waiting may not be an option. Any of you guys had experience pulling a car seat out of a back seat of a coupe day after day. I have and it is not fun. It's gets grating very quickly. And that sporty car with the stiff ride? Not so enjoyable with little junior sitting in the back.
Not to mention the wife will want to sit in the back seat with a new born baby alot of the time and she may not be thrilled with sitting in a cramped back seat with the baby especially if she's still carrying some extra baby weight. And it's a smaller car so you don't feel entirely safe with a new born sitting in the back. Sometimes life gets in the way of our sporty pretensions at least until the kids are ready to hit kindergarten.

I totally agree with everyone I'm going to give this a thought, only reason I'm rushing is because I found a buyer for my car and I hardly have time to be dealing with selling the car/and buying a car,I need a car because I usually work semi far, I just thought I found a very good opportunity with a newer car with low miles and 4 doors, I love the G37 and seriously don't want to change that, I definitely would love an S Sedan and I seen some on here for sale but there out of state and there private owners and you know how banks are they want to see the car, everyone has a point tho here and I appreciate your input. Ill see what I'll manage to do in for sure selling my car tho but I might wait to buy since I really want an S
