weak start added a duralast platinum
First warm day after work and the car had a weak start. I stopped on the way home after a brief check on my phone and picked up a duralast platinum and installed it. I believe it is a AGM battery. After I read reviews on these, people say arm batteries should not be used for starting but more for stereos....is this battery fine or do I need to pull it and swap. I thought would be better than a wet cell. Thanks.
I had the Duralast Platinum AGM in my maxima, and I never had a problem with it. In my g37, I currently have an Optima Yellow Top which is also an AGM battery. It held up through the winter and never let me down. I have an upgraded audio system as well, and it has handled everything without a hitch. I think you will be fine with the Duralast platinum.
AGM batteries are good for people that have stereo systems because the setups they have are power hungry and AGM batteries can provide them with what they need.
A AGM battery in a car with no heavy system is not harmful. Keep it.
