And by getting the sport, does that mean I need to pay more to replace the breaks / rotors and how much more compared to the non sport

Can someone let me know what to do?! I'm going to check out the S tomorrow. I checked out ther egular one for $15,800 and it was okay. It had scratches so I am going to go see the S. is the price difference worth it? The S is registered already so it saves me an extra $500 as the other one is not. Thanks!!

The pics of the first G is a true Sport model, the bigger 18" wheels, paddle shifters and big brake calipers are a dead giveaway. The second G is a regular Journey (non Sport). The seats are also different in the sport model, they have an extended thigh bolster and tighter adjustable side bolsters, and the S also has the aluminum brake/gas pedals.
if it's clean and drives well the S model would be the one I'd opt for.
As far as the brakes, once you already have the big S brakes the rotors & pads aren't much more than non S brakes. It's not an expense I would worry about as it might come out to an additional $100 to $150 for the extra cost for the bigger rotors & pads, and you won't have to deal w/ that but every 50k miles give or take.

If you're still thinking about the original car with the sluggish start, I wonder if they would allow you to "jump-start" it with your own battery. Perhaps this would rule out a battery issue.

And how weird is weird when you say that. Haha cause it didn't sound like a vq37hr starting. Sounded like ... I don't even know. I might stay away from it. I just liked it cause it had the 2011-2013 sport 19" rims on it for a 2010

Oh and also cause it's the only g out of 2 listed under 20gs
Haha, yeah I paid 16k of a dealer. Got an extended warranty which I'm going to cancel because it's ****. That was on top of the 16k. I'm in the Miami area. Got my car at offlease only. And yeah, my startups are weird, weird like the car struggles weird and sounds like a diesel car weird lmao

I think you're rushing to buy this car. If you wait around and dig deeper into each car sites I'm sure you can find an immaculate one for sale. Judging by the questions you ask and the time you already get to test drive the car I feel like you are rushing the buying process. I bought an 08 Coupe journey with the Sport/Prem package with 32k miles for 17.5k. Not saying it's a big of a deal or anything but if you put your time in researching to distinguish between different models and digging a bit more about these cars I'm sure you can find a better one than all of the ones you listed.

Im carless and going to school. But yeah, I get what you mean. Last thing I want to do is rush and buy a bad car. But what do u guys think of the condition of the G37S?

But I'm not going to lie.. This is a deal. KBB is rated at 18,500$ for G37S 2009 with 59k miles. So ... I think its a decent deal. I'm paying an extra $1,000 (not even sure if I will, just guessing as the MOST) than what you paid with an extra 27k miles and a year newer. I think the $1,000 difference balances it out perfectly for a good price.

I mean, I'm not going to lie, the guy above who found a 10' for 16k is impossible for me over here...

The best I can do at that price is get a salavaged.

I would but I already am getting a decent price on this G37S.

I might be interested in his 19" Coupe rims though.

So which one aer u talkign about. The post I originally made this thread about (2010 G37 Sedan with a bad start up) is out of the picture for me right now. On the 2nd page, I posted pictures of a G37S model that is being sold by a co-signment lot (family owned, very small lot). It still had warranty when it came in to the lot, so the people took it to an infinity dealership to get it serviced and looked at. Everything turned out okay.

This seems like a great car, I just hope it is.

^^ The post by "xcgh" is a spam post. It's a direct duplicate of post "9 in your thread. These spammers have been slipping through the site lately.

I just bought a 2011 G37 Journey Sport Model with 53k Miles on it , 1 owner, and has the Prem. Package, Navi Package, and Sport Package for 19,900$ . Did I get ripped off? Lmfao Drives fine.

ONLY THING is, I notice the lag between gears.. I need to read up on the other thread, but for 2011, can I get it fixed? I still have basic warranty (5 months or 6k miles) and engine / drive train warranty (2.5 years left)

You'll have to take it to the dealer and see if the latest TSB (Tech service bulletin) has been applied for your model.
Congrats on the new purchase, hope it turns out to be a great car for you.
Price seems fair depending on its' overall condition.

Will the warranties I have cover it? And also, the cup holder (it has a center divider thing) was loose resulting in the cup holder lid not opening all the way (opens half way). So I removed it. Can the warranty fix that too ?

and Do you know if the TSB has been applied for the 2011 G37? Or does it vary from location to location

And the car is I'll say 8.5/10 exterior wise, 9-9.5/10 performance / engine wise. Overall, we jumped on it because we lost a 09 G37 Sedan Sport (the pictures i posted earlier) for $17,900 so for an extra 2 years, we paid $19,900 for this one. So, in my head, it seems like a good deal.

Anyways, on cars.com, CL, autotrader, and even carmax, for the same model / packages, they are ALL listed above $21,000

I'm not sure what the cutoff date was for latest TSB, the dealer will be able to look up your VIN # and see if your vehicle has or hasn't been updated.
When you go to the dealer you need to state that your G is experiencing lagging/hesitant shifting for them to go through the TSB process (at least that's been my experience). As far as the cupholder, that depends on dealer discretion, it may or may not be determined to be a warranty item

And like I said, that price seems fair if the G is in reasonable condition, and it sounds like it is
