Drivers side door latch issue
Drivers side door latch issue
I brought my car in for the 60k service two days ago at the dealer where, in addition to the service, they washed and vacuumed the car, and ever since when the car is cold the drivers side door won't latch shut, and when the car has been running I am unable to open the drivers side door. The handle doesn't have the normal tension on it to release the latch and I have to exit through the passengers seat over the center console. I'm 6'4" (it's not pretty).
I contacted the dealership and they said this has nothing to do with their service and they want $754 to replace the actuator. Total BS. Not to mention, last time I brought my car in for an oil change they washed it and water/condensation showed up in my right front headlamp, a fix which they charge at least $1000 for.
I'm worried that the car wash at the dealership is messing up my car, and I want them to at least take accountability for it without me having to pay thousands of dollars in avoidable fixes. I'm tired of climbing out of the passenger side! Any ideas?

This happens more common than not and I highly doubt this is in any relation to a car wash.
My friend recently picked up a 2010 and we had to replace his driver side actuator. If you have a general knowledge of automotive repair, tackle it yourself. Pick up parts from InfinitiPartsUSA.com or another reputable source.
