G37x 0-60/quarter mile

Guys, I just recently purchased a 2012 G37X SEDAN and yesterday I installed a dual K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake. What kind of cars does my car have the ability to pull on (beat)? Does the intake system make a difference in exhaust sound (sedan) and what kind of quarter mile times will I acheive right now as well as 0-60?

Thanks for your input guys. Not a dummy when it comes to cars, just new to the G37 world.

From: Framingham Ma,
Books numbers are good 1/4 miles times are 13.5 or so give or take a few tenths, the KN's are ok for intakes IMO I would have stayed with the stock boxes and drop ins if I wasn't going true cold air. I'm logging my 0-60 times this weekend with UPREV but I have some mods

13.5 was for the RWD models and the X clocked in at 13.9. 0-60 is 5.4. The article was in motor trend and can be found here:

By the Numbers: 2014 Infiniti Q50, G37, and G35 Sedans

You should be good against any stock (unmodified) naturally aspirated V6. Forced induction and V8 is another story. Depending on vehicle weight, you may beat some V8s out there too.

The AWD shines if you ever go forced induction. I've read a lot of comments where people with boost wish they had AWD. Once you're over 400hp, you apparently understand why the GT-R comes with AWD from what I've read.

Last weekend I beat a 2011 335i on quarter mile track, its pull advantage is off the line for sure. The engine sound from sitting inside sounds much more pronounce and can get it sideways now making turns in 1st and 2nd gear with tiptronic with the AWD system.

The only intakes kits on this car that make any measurable difference without a tune are long-tube designs. Without a tune, everything else is (mostly) bling and noise.

You're looking for bragging numbers? Just stick with "mid-to-high 13s" and you'll be able to say it with a straight face.

I've got a Stillen Gen 3 intake and was finally able to track my car a couple months ago and was pretty disappointed with a 0-60 time around 6.3-6.4 seconds. Did the 1/8th mile in about 9.2, but I beat a cocky kid in his Cobalt SS so that made me happy. I did notice a pretty big difference in sound between stock and aftermarket intake, especially north of 3k RPMs.
