Help with Tanabe Axleback

Help with Tanabe Axleback

I recently purchased the Tanabe Axleback for a G37 Sedan. I am debating whether to paint them matte black with High temperature paint or leave them the way they are.
I am trying to avoid the mufflers from showing. I never liked that look.
Forgot to mention that I also purchased the Autokits X CF rear diffuser. Will the diffuser cover up the cans.

Any input is appreciated.

they might be a little bit more covered with the diffuser, but you will still see them.
I guess your gonna have to paint them.

I painted my cans matte black. Keeps it looking stock which I like. The exhaust tips and the sound however, is anything but stock.

you either like shiny mufflers or you don't, I personally like them but I've read plenty that paint them flat black...I think I even seen somebody that plastidipped them without any issues

So i left work early and got working on the axlebacks. Pretty happy with the outcome of the black mufflers. Hopefully Ill have time to take it to my local mechanic for installation.

local mechanic wants to charge me $100 to install the tanabe axleback.
how involve is the installation. is it worth the $100 for my mechanic to do

If you can safely lift the rear of your car then I'd DIY, it's real easy. But if you don't have the time and don't mind the $100 then

Take a look around the vendor section, there are a couple of vendors that sell them, and sometimes you can bargain with them to get the price a little lower.

Hey guys. Installed my tanabe axleback this afternoon. Installation took me about 45 minutes. Love the new look.
I will post pics shortly. Waiting for the CF rear diffuser.
