The madness continues....Qs everywhere

So.....The remaining years of the G sedan.....the poor line will be forced to adopt the Q nameplate, as the Q40?!

That is all...

I saw this in the monthly email they send to us. It is kinda messed up when you think about it. I feel like they have obviously knocked it down in the hierarchical structure. Where the Q50 is now their entry level premium offering as once was the G now even lower in its consideration within the model line up

I've driven a loaded Q50 and was not impressed. At the time the extra electronics had glitches (since fixed) but still. You can't fix the lack of inspiration for driving the things.

They are rebadging Gs that haven't yet been sold in an attempt to clear out inventory.

Car companies seem to be losing their way. Before I purchased the G, I wanted to buy the new Honda Accord Sport with a 6 speed. You couldn't find one and the sales people were trying to discourage you from buying one. I heard from three different dealerships, the same lame argument, that I can't shift a manual as fast as an automatic. Who cares? All of the 4 cylinders are CVT tranny's, something that I would never buy. Now Infiniti is and others are trying to find more engineering breakthrough's that many of us could care less. Cars that stop themselves, cars that drive themselves, cars that ??? themselves. The majority of people, if not all, on this site bought the G because of it's ability to handle and the overall sporting driving experience.

The Q50 is a nice looking vehicle, but I still prefer the G37 styling...and performance from what I've heard

I just got a slightly used G37S 6MT sedan and had to take it in for warranty service (hood release cable snapped). The dealership gave me a Q50S AWD and other than the new touch screen audio/climate/electronic goodies I wouldn't say that the Q50 is any nicer than the G37. I don't like that it lost the telescoping steering wheel, the sliver plastic kind of faux carbon fiber weave looks cheap and feels cheap. The seats about about the same but the barred leather texture was a little nicer though it doesn't make much difference. The Q50 is slower, heavier, no 6MT option and IMO it looks kind of like a Mazda6.

wait, so the M is now the Q70? What's the QX80? The current QXwhatever it is? And the QZ70 is going to be the JX? And the QX50 is the FX? I'm so confused with this brand now.

G37 would be the last vehicle I wanna get from Infiniti, seriously, if a luxary brand can't live up to its image, why do we need to buy one?

G37 > G35 > Q.. whatever

BTW, Johan de Nysschen left and we all know why!

He left Infiniti already? I didn't know. I sold my car a month ago and haven't looked back and kept up with the news.
