Cupholder Question

Could someone please help me out. I think I broke my cup holder. The part with the spring is stuck up. Can someone post a pic of theirs working. I'm sure mine can be fixed. Here is a pic of it:

They do seem to be rather flimsy.

Yea, this sucks. I read that in order to replace it I have to replace the whole cup holder unit. . . . . . . . .

I called Infiniti today and they did inform me that its the whole cup holder unit which is somewhere around $200. Has anyone purchased just an insert or does anyone have any other ideas? It's not really useful without the insert, cups slide everywhere.

I had the same problem and to be honest I just played around with trying to put the "b" shape loop of the spring back in the folding gap and it ended up popping back in place and it works fine afterwards

That thing popped out on me, too... I screwed around with it for about 3 minutes and it popped back in.

That's my problem too. I've checked around and the part number listed on the bottom of the insert never shows up 68431 JL00A. has anyone found one? I also tried "fixing" it and ended up breaking off the top.

I haven't had any luck finding one. I sent a guy on this forum my vin but I never heard back from him. Having 2 big cup holders sure sucks though.

Today I paid $169 Canadian including taxes for the whole cupholder unit. I replaced the inner insert. I'm not happy about the cost at all but there really is no other way.

Whoa! I find it hard to believe that there is no other way to fix this than to buy the whole unit! So frustrating!
