Considering Plasti dipping my whole car chameleon...thoughts?

So I have been checking out some of the chameleon dipped cars online and I am strongly suggesting doing it. I know there is a lot of people against it but for the price and the fact I can just peel it off, really to me makes it a logical option to try something new.

Wondering if any one has done any of the chameleon dips or not and what are your experiences?? I am looking at the Nautilus blue green pearl dip.

I say do it but only because I never would but would like a new background at work. If I didn't love my blue slate, or if I had mine in red, white, any other shallow color, or if my paint was dead, I'd def dip my car.

I think it would be pretty cool for a while. I have not seen it in person but from videos I have seen I like it. I had my wheels Violet Metalizer for the last three months and they were still shiny until two days ago I peeled and painted them the new Black and Blue color.

If you decide to do it I suggest plenty of glossifier to finish it with to protect and make it shiny.

Don't get me wrong I love my blue slate but I think it would would be something interesting to try because not many people have done it and if it sucks I will peel it off and go back to blue slate. If I end up getting it done it will be soon and if I do I will post some good pictures of it and get some opinions on the look.

To me I think that time has passed, back in early 2000s it was cool. But at the end of the day its what you want to do.

I wouldn't do it, not because it's plastidip, but because the color is hideous. If you were thinking about flat silver then I would say go for it.

But in the end is your car, I just wouldn't rice it out like that.

Good luck if you try, it's just not my cup of tea :/ I've just never found dipped cars to look appealing..small parts and wheels ok but the whole car just never did it for me

Well I have been pondering it for a couple weeks and after the feedback I think I will spend my money elsewhere for now. Think I am going to put my money towards R2C intake and get the tint I want done and wheels and tires after that. Also considering a drop but we will see.

Thanks for the input guys!

I've been looking into wheels but I've an awd so I can't do staggered. Also I don't have duck feet so they're decent to me.

Since you've the blue slate, you should do two super wide white stripes down the center of the vehicle. Just like the Viper? I think it'd look sexy but only on a coupe.

Personally, stay away from plasti dip. Unless you have some crazy impressive skills, 99% of the time it will come out looking like pooooop.

However, I happen to like the color you're going for….but wrapped. Yes yes, more money…but look at what it WOULD come out like:

Goodluck.
