Low Speed whining noise.
I’ve noticed as the weather is warming that my 09 G37x is getting a little louder, like a gear whine at slow speeds, especially off the line or decelerating at a very slow speed. I just got new tires and rims, as my OEM Goodyear’s finally gave up the ghost, so can’t determine if this is because I’m just hearing it more (due to quiet tires) or if she’s making more noise. Hell, my 2003 Silverado beast truck has less driveline noise. It only has 41K on it. I know Honda ATX’s tend to be louder, but I’ve never experienced that in a Nissan Product. My wife’s CVT in her Murano is near silent.
I’ve only owned this car since November (purchased from a family member).
I’m going to be swapping out the F-Diff, R-Diff and X-Fer case fluids shortly to Amsoil, so maybe Synthetic fluids might help.
Is this an AWD thing or do the Transmissions just whine a bit? I have searched about this, but all that comes up is MTX owners.
The car still drives and performs excellent. The dealer did the TSB on the transmission and that really helped the downshift deal, although it feels a little slower in "D" now.
