Sorry, but I have to ask. Are you using premium fuel?

Also, if you have breather mods without a tune, you may be leaning out and detonating.

No backup behind this except my experience but I've found Mobile 1 synthetic has made the valve train noise louder in both my G and Tundra. No idea why this is, but try swapping oil brands next time and see if it goes away. Think I'm going to try Pennzoil platinum next time.

Try German Castrol 0-W30. I think you'll like it.

I've been using Mobil 5W-30 and my car is now 84k miles and have no knocking sounds whatsoever.

Did you check your oil levels to make sure it was on the correct level? As for warranty, you will still be covered as long as you had regular oil changes, no matter where you get it done. Even if you do it yourself and kept the receipts of the oil you purchased you are still covered.

As for which oil brand to use, it really doesn't matter. What you're using shouldn't be causing engine knock in the first place.

Is it a knocking sound or a ticking sound? If it is a ticking noise and then goes away it may sound like a purge solenoid control valve, which is normal.
