UGH! Just polished the G and it's snowing tomorrow

We don't get a ton of snow down here in SE Virginia- it seems to be a once/year thing. I'd love to take the xS out and see what it does in the snow. But....

I took the opportunity on Saturday to throw on a few layers of Zaino on Saturday since it was a bit warmer and there was no precipitation predicted for the next week or so. After all, one of the best parts about a new coat of polish, is admiring it for several days!

Clearly a first world problem for me!

What the hell, have some fun, plus another session w/ Zaino can be your Zen time w/ your G

True! Nobody really bothers me in the garage, especially not during the winter.

My only issue is that the Q7 is due for a full clay/polish first!

I washed up my kid this past Friday. It was filthy after the past two weeks of rain here. No bad weather in the near future so it should stay looking pretty a week or two. The garage is the sanctuary, isn't it?

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me last week. Now my G is covered in road salt.

Sigh, same issue with me. Just had it washed and waxed on Sunday, and now it's snowing outside

This is silly. Having a car's surface properly cared for is why it's that much easier to clean afterwards. We know a little something about road salt and long winters in Western New York, so a once-a-year snowfall in Southeast Virginia... meh.

Besides, the time spent cleaning the car is far more rewarding than simply knowing it's clean while you do whatever else it is you do that isn't looking at your car. At least, that's how it is for me. blnewt hit the nail on the head when he said "Zen time".

Agreed that a clean car is easier to keep clean. Still you like to keep it clean longer than shorter. Unless you shower right before you go exercising

Got home before the storm hit so the G is safely tucked away in the climate controlled garage. Not sure if I'll take it out....

I spoke to soon and the weatherman doesn't know sh*t. It's pouring this afternoon.

Yours too, eh? When I decided to Zaino the G, my long term Weather Channel forecast was only a 30% chance of precip today. It's snowing right now....

There are few occupations in which people can be so wrong so often, yet we still hang on their every word.

I'm learning that when any % chance of precipitation is in the forecast it actually means said % of the viewing area WILL be getting wet!

LOL at climate controlled. Not that I wouldn't love to have a big, heated garage, but still...

There was a member here about a year ago who had this amazing high ceiling garage, with a lift, no less. A lift! Damn, so jealous.

More power to you, KEG.

Thanks....I always tell people that my wife made all the choices about the house that we built. I merely tagged along as she was choosing cabinets, flooring, hardware, etc. I was able to handle the A/V install decisions and make some requests on my garage....since that's my only "room" in the house. I was more concerned with keeping AC in the garage since I use that as my "pain cave" for workouts.

I was "this" close to getting a lift a few years ago. I hesitated and then she got pregnant with our 3rd kid. There went the lift cash! Now the Audi sits outside. Otherwise I'd have the Miata on the lift above my car.

I've learned some things and realize that I want at least a 4 car garage in the next house. Either that or a basement (rare in my part of VA) to move my gym stuff down there.

That was a great setup in the garage.... project bikes, atv's, car lift, etc. That's a true man cave!

Your talking about 2009Bandit, I think that was his name. That was a pretty awesome set up. When I'm or looking for houses I've been looking for a garage with a high ceiling too incase I ever find that tree with money growing on it.
