Mt. Fuji looks MUCH better in the larger size and lowered like you did in your last chop, Rochester. Something I'd like to do myself

^ yeah no worries. It just seems to be the m.o. of this forum. Oversized wheels and such.. nothing actually pertaining to real enthusiasts.

Heh. Except in the chat thread where we've been speaking about hfcs and tunes for a few dozen pages.

Real enthusiasts also care about aesthetics, btw.

You're not trying hard enough. Seriously, I had the very same first impression 2 to 3 years ago. Mostly a bunch of non-enthusiasts, tinting windows, and installing gaudy boat anchors on a car that was more likely leased than owned. Particularly here in the sedan forum.

But if you stick with it, you'll find like-minded people. You might even learn some things about your car, and discover a path to modifying your G37 in ways and with parts you wouldn't have known about otherwise.

Patience, rm2342. For every one snarky comment, try to add something positive to balance. And welcome to the forum.

Thanks John, those last two pics sealed the deal for me, I'm going to have to look up that larger emblem, the single G emblem w/out any lettering now looks so puny. Thanks a lot OP for putting this together, BTW how much was the emblem & did you get it online or from the dealer?

Picked it up on ebay for 20 bucks used. Added some vhb from a roll I already had; didnt check the dealer since I assumed it would be at least double that.

Hopefully, you all realize that somewhere in the Infiniti design studios, they likely went through this exact same sequence in deciding how the graphics would appear. Of course, that exercise probably occurred back on '05 or '06, before the G design was finalized.

I wonder what kind of similar exercise is going on currently at Infiniti. Perhaps how the Infiniti logo and graphics will fit onto the rear of the Q30, or other future product?

I think as it comes from the factory the current logo size is fine, when the INFINITI below is removed the logo does seem diminutive, especially with all that new open space from debadging.

Exactly. If I were to remove the INFINITI lettering, I'd want the larger Fuji.

Hmm. I think I'm going to start calling it a Fuji. Just Fuji. Like the NISSAN Burger.

Thanks for the find Brad! Definitely going to pick one of these up in the spring time before I take care of my post-winter extreme detail

Great idea OP, I think the size and placement of the "Fuji" looks very nice.

I agree the "S" logo is a little cartoonish, but it's different

I think the G sedan is pretty unique in that the license plate is mounted on the bumper rather than the trunk (can't think of another late model that does this). Not sure of the reason for this (perhaps something for the Japanese market??), but it does open up a lot of real estate on the trunk.

I debaged the INFINITI on mine, so far I'm content with the look (asymmetry doesn't both me), but this is something I might eventually consider. Thanks for the photos

(When I get around to my front grille project, I'll be going with a larger emblem, likely from one the the SUVs as well)
