First Snow for My 37X

Snow in NJ this eve. Put her in snow mode. A real trooper. Rode like a tank.

What kind of tires you have on. I have been prolonging on changing mine, i dislike the stock. Feels like the back end slips. Dunlop 18in sport max. It fish tail last night at 25mph on the hwy.

In NY had some snow since Thanksgiving and the car is great with the stock tires on it.

Infiniti engineered the G to have a RWD feel to it. When the VDC detects wheelspin and slip, it triggers the ECM to send power to the front tires to stabilize the car. No matter what tires it has, unless you use SNOW mode, the rear will have a larger slip angle then the front. I prefer that feel.

Living in snowy Colorado, I use General AS-03 all-season tires on my G37xS and find they offer sufficent traction in everything except deep snow or pure ice.

good info to know, I am considering the continental DWS. These were excellent on my 09 max. I'll research the AS-03. I'm looking to buy a set in the morning, these dunlops have to go.

2012G37 - I have the Continental DWS on my 10 G37. Love them. I would recommend this tire.

Thats wassup, back order, I gotta go back to the tire store shortly, so they can call another supplier. But may not arrive till mid next week.

With the snow mode on, with the dunlop, car handles ok on the road, but once i get on that hwy

I go all out. No no-season tires for me. Michelin Pilot Super Sport in the summer and General Altimax Arctic winter tires in the winter.

Car has too much grip. It is almost boring in the winter now. The AWD is very hard to induce oversteer compared to my old RWDs. It tends to just plow into corner until you really plant your foot (about how it handles in the summer too...)

This is the right and responsible way. Drivers on inappropriate tires are actually hazards to themselves and others. Selfish too since they dictate the pace for everyone.

First snow for g37x as well and she handeld like a champ. There were a few slick spots on I95 and the side roads but I never felt out of control ( first awd car btw). Can you drive with snow mode engaged or is it only for starting the car from rest in deep snow?

My first snow in the G as well. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it handles. I'm easily impressed though, coming from a rear wheel drive BMW...

turn it on and leave it on for the duration of your slightly snowy ice or heavily snowy icy drive. it only affects your throttle from 0 -15 mph
