You've been talking up the ZL1 a bit. With Hennessey down the road from you, I'm gonna say that would be an ideal platform for future tuning. My guess is the Camaro ZL1.

And I'll just leave this here...

You said white, used, a V8, MT, and handles well. That eliminates most US cars, with a few exceptions. That ZL1 is possible, but probably tough to find a used one (dunno), I'm thinking a C6 Vette Gran Sport or maybe even a Z06.

I drove the Zl1 as well but didn't want to spend 48k. The power was great (however not overwhelming) but everything else felt just as good in the 1le. The interior is meh (sorry John) but I really don't care. The one thing I wish I did was hold out for one with the recaro seats but patience is not a virtue of mine.

Meh. nice car but not something I would get, only Chevy I'd probably get would be the SS or CTS-V sedan/wagon(2nd gen only) / ATS-V sedan but call me biased because I don't like coupes, neither camaros, I mean I'm sure it has quite a grunt but not to a point that I'd want one, oh I forgot there is one 2 door chevy I wouldn't mind having that is a Z06 C7 vette lol. Nice looking car nonetheless though, I hope you'll be enjoying it more than the G.

Todd, nice SS, glad you found something that will make you happy. Don't be a stranger though, do you already have some mod plans?

Hexotic, nice drop, just need to ditch the 3.7 side badge and you're good to go!

Lol, I know, I know. As mentioned before, its a result of drunk eBaying and thinking, hey, this will look cool.... oh crap...

Ill be debadging the back and moving the mt Fuji down once spring comes around, and Ill take the crap off the side too. Going to be sanding the whole front bumper, repainting it, and adding a lip, so Ill have to invest into a rotary polisher anyways. Waiting for that before I touch the badges.

I was just rattling your cage, it's not really too bad, but if it was a Supercharged 3.7, then yes, I'd badge that

BTW, where did you get those wheels? Look nice on your ride

Nice SS.

Having had a ram air 4th generation f-body I have a soft spot for the Camaro. I'm hoping the 2016 pushes prices down on the ZL1 and Z28 to be feasible as a 2nd car for me.

Its a fairly new Taiwanese company (not to be confused with made in mainland china lol). Local shop here (Toronto) has connections with them, so they import them fairly cheaply. They copy a lot of high end brands with a twist of their own, they do replicas, and have their own line as well. Spent $2400 CAD with the tires, so not too bad. Once I get all the performance upgrades I want done, Ill be looking at nicer wheels, but these will do for now. Lets call them training wheels lol. (the axle caps are from a different brand lol.... the caps from the wheels are flat, and didnt fit over the axle bolt, so had to put these convex ones instead, infiniti caps are too tiny...)

You can check out what these guys make here: INFORGED INTERNATIONAL Co., Ltd. - Leader Supplier in Wheels

The drive is actually what killed my spirit for this car. Granted, that was 6 years ago, and even though it wasn't for me, the performance was undeniable. The SS a monstrously powerful car. And the heart wants what the heart wants.

Congrats. Enjoy. Peace. Seeya.

Does anyone know if silicone would damage paint after a longer period of time on there holding a diffuser onto the bumper?

I really do not want to and will not be screwing my new carbon signal diffuser to the bumper

so it's either silicone as I've been recommended ( also per Carbon Signal themselves) IF it doesn't damage the paint

or just 3M tape the heck out of it like I did on my previous diffuser and it held on fine, but this one's a bit bigger so I'm a little skeptical about it.

Any help is appreciated !

Thanks Brad.

No mods planned as I'm just going to enjoy it in stock form for now. Besides, this car is already modded to my liking (wheels, suspension, exhaust, splitters, short throw, final drive, etc). When I say this car can handle I mean it. Just look at the cars it beat (and how close it is to the ones above it) at the streets of willow.

Willow Springs - Streets of Willow lap times - FastestLaps.com

With that said, you can never have enough power so of course I will most likely go with some long tube headers, intake, and a tune. That should net me anywhere from 40 to 60 whp and then I'll be right on the z28's heels.
