I know Firestone gives the actual numbers not just "green" and "red". I keep a copy of the spec sheet they show to you so I can see what's changed between each alignment. I was lucky enough to find a guy that worked there that knew how to adjust my SPL camber arms.

yeah they do give numbers I was just too lazy to look up the actual numbers lol

Hello all, I'm pretty new to the forum. I've really just posted questions so far over in the tech subforums. After some help from blnewt over there I finally finished the first round of mods. I have a '12 RWD w/ sport package and just installed Swift springs last week along with new Avant Garde 580's in smoked graphite (19x9.5 R & 19x8.5 F - 275/35 R & 245/40 F Michelin PSS). BTW, Jason with getyourwheels.com was great to deal with.

I was concerned with a drop in ride quality with aftermarket springs after coming from an A4 dropped on Eibach springs that produced a ride that was stiff and jarring in all the wrong ways. Anyway, I absolutely love the Swifts. The new springs have produced no discernible difference in ride quality over the OEM springs while vastly improving the cornering and handling. Along with the Michelin PSS, it feels as if I'm driving a different car.

I just got an alignment today and here's the specs. Everything's within spec for toe and camber. I was hoping for the camber to be a little closer to factory spec, do those numbers seem like they'll be OK though?

Sway bars and a CAI are next on the list. Powdercoating the Akebonos fell further down the list after the new wheels. They look a lot better in stock silver against the smoked graphite Avant Gardes than they did the OEM duckfeet that were essentially the same color. Now that they contrast better and the fact that I'm not sold on a new color yet, I'll hold off on that.

BTW, tint is Suntek Carbon (25%) done by Autograhics in Manheim, PA (highly recommend) and the springs were installed by Agile Automotive in Fallston, MD (highly recommend as well). Agile mostly works on Suburus but they were happy to work on the G and although they build and race their own cars (Suburus and others) they were happy to work on my smallish project.

Fitment looks perfect. IDK how you pulled that off with 19's and RWD Swifts, but pics don't lie. I swear, sometimes I think every car is different, regardless of identical make/model.

Technically, you're 1/10th degree outside of rear spec... splitting hairs.

Bring your car to the August Sedan meet-up in PA.

Nice job all around efp11, glad Jason hooked you up and the wheels/tires fit so well.
Drop looks proper and those alignment specs should result in decent tread wear.

efp11, great choice on wheels and tires. Your alignment looks pretty spot on for a lowered G37. In order to get the camber/toe closer to spec (aiming for zero is actually wrong), it would require camber arms and toe bolts. Anything under -2 camber is good for decent tire wear.

What offsets are those rims?

Thanks! I'm really happy with how it all turned out.

I'd like to make the meet, I may have house guests over that weekend so I'm not sure yet. I noticed in the meet-up thread the difficulty in securing a space with a pavilion. It's too late for this year, but I play in a co-ed softball league at Stumpf Field in Lancaster, PA. The field is where Lancaster's old minor league team played back in the 50s & 60s. It has a pavilion with a charcoal grill (I believe), is only 2-3 minutes from route 222 to test out each other's cars, and has an adjoining parking lot that is pretty large and right next to the pavilion. The best part is the field, pavilion, and lot are all privately owned. The guy who runs our league has a deal with the owner to use the field so I can get his contact info to see if it's a possibility to use. The major downside is in the fact that the surroundings are not too scenic. It's in a rather industrial area so there's not much too look at, although it doesn't take long to get out into the country and some windy roads.

If the site seems like it might be of interest let me know, if not, no biggie.

Thank you! The rears are 40 and the fronts are 35. I would have preferred 45 in the back but that wheel in that size didn't come in that offset.

Yep I keep all my alignment sheets and I too am lucky that the guy at firestone drives a slammed lexus IS and knew what he was doing.

Tony you sir are correct, just too many factors when it comes to tires. But unfortunately after this, its left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to PSS.

i was between the hankooks and the Potenza s04's went with the s04s they have not disappointed me yet

A question to my no gap between fender and tire crew.

How in the hell are you not rubbing your front fender liner loose to the point of it it making your car sound like a jalopy and, how do you not bottom out (the suspension) when hitting hard bumps?

What is a front fender liner? Are you talking about that thing that flew off on the highway at 80mph when I hit a bump causing the driver behind me to slam on their brakes?
