I'm with you John - 18ish forever unless I'm on a 3+ hour drive.
Found a leak in the roof somewhere - pic heavy so it's on my build page (in my sig, last post). Would love if y'all would take a look and give me assumptions...
I'm back to daily driving mine, albeit I only drive twice a week in town. Might be taking a job on a Native res so that may change to 3 hours one way lol.
Impressive. I've never tracked MPG on my car. Point of fact, I've never even reset the onboard MPG calculation. Not once. According to the car, I've been averaging 18.5 mpg for the last 15 years.
Interesting. That's kind of cool to be honest.
Not sure why I have always reset the MPG calculation. Out of habit at this point. With gas prices still hovering around $6, I thought I'd celebrate my 29mpg road trip up north.
I've been looking for a second commuter, prefer a manual trans. What's odd is that some of the cars I'm considering like the WRX get worse mileage. What scares me away from the WRX FA20/24 is the direct injection. With that said, the same FA24 in the BRZ uses Toyota’s D-4S system (port and direct). Engine still has the "right turn" oil starvation issue, and its slower than the G.
Seems difficult to find a reliable Japanese RWD, port injected (or both) Manual trans performance car that is as reliable as a G. Even the ND2 Miata has issues. ChatGPT still likes the tiny coupes based on my criteria (below)
