24 hours with the new G37x
Here's the direction I'm going
Original

After powder coating

Bit of a lower cost option. I bought sets for less than a set of aftermarket rims. My plan is to square them up, keep a set and sell a set. We'll see how it goes.

I remember your car being for sale at the dealer (I know Luther Infiniti all too well.. lol) Who was your sales guy? And did your trade your Si in? I thought I saw a modded Civic Si sitting in the lot the other day.
New G looks good. Definitely do some suspension upgrades as a start. Will make the car drive a lot better.

Igor, and yeah, I traded in my SI to them. Luther Infiniti totally ruined their reputation for me. The sale went through smoothly, and then their douchebag of a finance manager got all upset when I declined on the extended warranty that "92%" of buyers choose to get. He ended it with a "Well, don't come whining to your parents or me when your $3,500 navigation goes out!". **** that dude.
Then they tried stiffing me on the $500 gift card for their black friday sale. Huge sign plastered on their window that says "Buy ANY new or used car on Friday and get a $250 gift card - trade in a car and we'll double it.". No fine print anywhere, sale goes through, they tell me my sale wasn't eligible. I tell them to get the manager, he (Igor) comes back and tells me "Sorry, the manager said we can't do it.". I say.. go get him out here. Comes back 10 mins later with my giftcard. I donno why they would tarnish a good sale by trying to renege on a giftcard that I so plainly was eligible for.

I was actually sitting with the used car manager when that was going on it... can't believe that was you roflmao.
Sucks they treated you like that. I only really work with Steve and Scott when it comes to the dealer. Ron made me sign the papers, but I don't think he likes me. Extended warranties on these cars don't make any sense especially on CPO.

You absolutely should document the encounter in a completely factual way, then mail your complaint to INFINITI's Corporate office in North America. If you want to be sure, mail it signature required.
No way no how should a paying customer be treated that way. It doesn't matter how young you are, because if you're being respectful, and you have money, that's all they need to know to do their job.
And not for nothing, but a 2012 model still has 2-3 more years of full, bumper-2-bumper factory warranty left on it. To try and force you into an extended warranty is unethical. In 3 years, if your Nav system fails, then fck it and go buy a Garmin. Only people who take their car away from home on a routine basis need Nav anyway. It's a seriously over-hyped and mostly unnecessary feature on a car. Like AWD.

i hate hearing stories like this, but at least you walked away with the fair deal just as you negotiated. like you, i push back when pressed by dealers. many family and friends ask me to come along for the final negotiations because i can't stand having folks i know getting snowed by unscrupulous salespeople. there are many good sales guys out there, but some are greasy and must be dealt with calmly but forcefully.
Run don't walk from luther infiniti. I posted elsewhere about their attempt to bait and switch me to a hail ravaged repair job vehicle. Their new name should be Lucifer infiniti. Get your service done at lupient.
And definitely contact corporate infiniti -you can send your story online and they will respond to you. At least they did take care of me.

Those turned out great, look forward to the install pics.
He actually said that?

^ good for you to stick to your guns and not get bullied. that is a bush-league steamroller tactic they tried to use on you, and it would have worked on most people who are weak.

Yeah, that crap actually went down. You'd think they'd treat someone who came in to buy a car with a little more respect. I'm relatively young (24) and probably look a little younger, but I came in to buy the car with my own cash, and they treated me like I brought my parents along so that they could buy it for me (they had to come as my trade-in car was owned/titled to them). Extended warranties are largely a rip-off and it annoyed me that he would insinuate that not only is the car they sold me going to break down, but I would go whining to him/my parents if it did. I was thinking about complaining but I didn't want to light a fire under a dealership that would potentially be working on my car, but I'll definitely check out lupient.
I would honestly file a complaint though. Although I can't see that ever happening from Kurt, I would let them know that it is not ok and say exactly what you feel. They will make it right (Scott, the used car manager was the one that said to just do what it takes to make it right).
With the exception of you and Huskerblue, I never hear complaints about Luther Infiniti. In fact it is pretty well documented that Lupient has a higher number of complaints (me included) who treat people differently based on age or what not (I am only 22, they didn't want to give me a loaner for my 2013 car that I am paying for... yea, i raised hell.) Our own moderator on here 1CleanG (or Z, whatever he is now) went in to buy a hail damage G from Lupient and the sales guy asked him if this was 'even worth his time' because Lance was young and driving an old Cavalier. Lance went and bought a car elsewhere... Luther has always been really friendly towards the G community and even hosted a meet for us last summer with food and gifts. They even give a 10% discount if you say you are part of the G Club..
But things happen, as evidenced here with you and Huskerblue. And I would make your voice heard. It will only make your future experiences better.
I have a set of Hotchkis front and rear sway bars for sale. Paid $477+ tax new, I'd sell for $300.
Used the rear on my 2013 G37xS for autocross (stock class only allows you to change one). The front is still in the box. Only fits AWD
I have the 7 speed auto with the paddle shift and love it!
(No camber adjustment in the front is just dumb!)
I won the local Season final event, placed second in the Vancouver clubs season (one bad event blew my chances)
Bought a Mazda MX5 for next years autocross season so the G37 will be gone soon.
Building it to STR and heading to the US nationals in 2014! Woo Hoo!
Send me a personal message if you or anyone else are interested in the bars.
Is there a thread for selling stuff?

Looking good! I picked up a demo 2013 with some miles on it...same color package. It took me awhile to figure out the accessories button combo lol. I do think the biggest styling drawback is the stance and tiny rims. I plan on upgrading to sport wheels as soon as I can find a set that aren't road rashed up...
