great pick-up OP! the new ride definitely looks like it was lowered as well. if you like the ride height and want to keep it, look into 15-20mm spacers to get those wheels flush again.
those are the LE wheels, but if the rest of the car is standard S fare, then perhaps the previous owner just swapped out wheels. i don't know how else the LE was differentiated beyond wheels - except in 2010 for the Anniversary edition with red seats. LE does not have that.
oh, and that is the sport bumper, not the chin spoiler.

.... Well I ended up coming home with her and I am pretty happy, other than the fact that the dealer put regular gas in her and I can tell a difference in performance. Oh well I guess that means I'll have to drive the tank to empty... just another excuse to drive my new car!

A dealer put regular gas in your car.
i wonder if there are any dealers that put anything other than that when they deliver a new car to a customer?
BTW I'm on my second G having driven both of them over 200k miles with no problems using regular 87 octane

^^ The dealer isn't taking any risk, what so ever, putting in the one and only tank of fuel they will ever contribute to your vehicle. One tank of low grade fuel isn't going to do any damage. That's why they can cheap out.
If you ask the dealer what you should put in it for the next 3,4 or 10 years they will recommend you follow the owners manual.
It is a case of do as I say, not as I do.
You do love the fuel debate, don't you?

There is no debate, RPM. It's like climate change... there's reality, and people who choose to believe a narrative that suits their predispositions and conspiracy theories. There's a boring and mostly ignored thread here about mileage on what is obviously a low-mileage car. It would be nice if people kept their nonsense there in that thread, and stopped annoying the normals.
Burn it off, put in the correct octane fuel, and enjoy your car. The knock sensor will work a little harder, and the engine will under-perform in ways imperceptible to most people, particularly if all they do is long highway stretches, but no harm done.

Where did your post go that was between his and mine.
I know that, man. So was mine, indirectly. The last thing this thread, or any thread, needs is trolling from octane deniers.
We're OT, even though the OP did kind of bring it up. You know what I find kind of shocking, is that My'09G37X went from a white car to a black one. That's a pretty severe change in color preference. That Obsidian Black is going to require a whole lot of TLC.

I'm on my second G because I made a decision not to spend a couple of thousand dollars on a seven year old vehicle with over 170k miles for brakes, a leaking differential seal, and an intermittent drivers side ballast. The 2012 came with lots of new options including navigation, back up camera, etc.
I'm sure I could have reached the 200k mark on my 06 G35 and the engine still ran like new. Because of the rapid changes in technology I doubt if I'll be keeping a vehicle longer than five years. I had my 92 Lexus ES 300 5 Sp manual 14 years.
All on regular 87 octane of course!
My point is IMHO unless one is at the track, paying more for anything other than regular gas is an unnecessary expense and a waste of money.
For those that enjoy spending and pouring money into a depreciating piece of metal go for it.
My extra $$$ goes into my 401k plan

I'm happy again.I'm starting to make a mental note of mods that I want to do to it, and I'll probably plan it out like Rochester did in his thread.
All of my cars previous to my '09 were black on black. I made the mistake of settling for a car that I was under educated about (the neutered "sports appearance package" for the X) and for a color combination I wasn't entirely thrilled with. I grew to love the white exterior, but never really liked the stone interior. My hope in trying to find a newer G was to find a true S model, either black on black or white on black, 2010 or newer...
Well, almost exactly the car you want.
At least you've got the brakes, sport suspension and steering that you didn't have in the xS. And for the lack of AWD, you've been compensated with VLSD, because RWD-S. So that's something.
Step 1: buy swaybars
Step 2: install swaybars
Step 3: profit
