New exhaust on the market ?

Was browsing on ebay out of boredom and found this.

Would love to hear a sound clip of it

Interesting find. It seems a little bit better than the usual chinese crap that plagues eBay. I would be interested in hearing more, but "17-30" horsepower is a *little* ambitious. They also don't say their exhaust is mandrel bent, and the whole assembly looks a little flimsy. Still, for the price, it could be a budget upgrade.

I'll issue this challenge: If anyone purchases that exact exhaust and it looks just like it does in the photos (polished, straight even welds, etc.), is made entirely from T304 stainless steel, and it fits correctly (hangers in the right position, tips sit even, all holes line up, flanges don't leak), I will send you $25 via PayPal. It's on the record.

Because I'm pretty sure what you will actually get is low quality Chinese garbage.

Who's going to take me up on it?

You're so cynical. I'm sure you can get a perfectly good exhaust for <500 USD..... 30 horsepower!

Yes, I am cynical. And I'm certainly no expert on anything automotive. But I've been around cars for a while and I've seen a thing or two. And I know a turd when I smell one. Even a highly polished turd.

That is s highly polished turd.

At least the pics show the welds to be pre-burnished, usually takes a couple thousand miles for the welds to brown up like that. Maybe they just forgot to scrub them up for the pics??

I'm a sucker for self-deprecating humor.

How right you are, BB. A full, polished cat-back for under $500? Through eBay? No-o-o-o.

And not for nothing, but doesn't the Sedan require a bit of customization to configure a single canister in the back?

lol "No instructions included, professional installation required". Also as mentioned you'd have to remove the spare tire and do some fabrication to push in that space in order to fit a single canister. If not 99% of all G coupe exhaust take-offs would wind up being purchased by a sedan owner "looking for the coupe sound".

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's not a sedan exhaust.
