I have debated putting sway bars on but I really do not want to buy anything for this car. I'd rather it just handle well from factory especially if they put a red S on it.

I had a 6MT Sport with Michelin Super Sports and now this G37xS with Michelin Super Sports. The difference is there, and I notice it. I think Infiniti shouldn't have been lazy and actually made this car handle better than its journey counterpart. Either that or my car is broken and handles worse than the rest, but I am verrrry underwhelmed with this cars performance in the turns. I think the last gen TL holds the road better than this G does and by a large margin.
You owned a prev. gen TL? That's funny if we both owned the same cars and have such different opinions. I doubt that my '09 xS handled better than your newer one - especially if you have Super Sports. Maybe it's just that I'm used to the xS after four years of driving one and I've had the 6MT for less than a month.

I do agree that they are very different cars ... in fact, just 7AT vs. 6MT makes a big difference in character. I don't know any good reason for shorting the xS sedans, other than the fact BMW does it. I believe the G37xS coupes get the sport suspension and brake upgrades, just not the sedan.

Truly a shame Wannabe that you're so disenchanted w/ your X, coming from RWD I can understand where you'd soon find its' shortcomings. Any way you can get out from it without taking a big hit? Might be worthwhile looking for another RWD if the out of pocket wouldn't be too severe. Nothing worse than getting a car you really regret, hopefully you can either get another ride or improve your X so you can at least enjoy the drive

I really hate this car. I honestly hate this car to the point that it has just made me sour about Infiniti as a brand. I cannot believe they short owners of the AWDs so much. Makes me feel sorry for all the northerners that never get to experience the beauty that is these cars in their natural, RWD form.. I'v looked into getting out and it would be verrry expensive. Infiniti is throwing so much money at Gs right now that they just aren't worth what their buyouts are.

Oh well, only 19 months or 594 days left with it...

I am with wannabe sport, but I think you are both right. I had a 2009 g37x which handled awesome. I now have a 2010 g37xS which handles much worse. I think infiniti screwed something up on these cars in 2010 and later versions as I have seen a number of posts that make it seem like the 2010+ x cars handle softer than the 2009 and earlier versions. My issue seems to be mostly relating to a rear suspension that has trouble holding a line. I have pilot superspports and hotchis sways. I also tried bc coils but I think this is a bushing issue.

That being said, I am looking forward to driving a q50 sport. I may skip awd even though I am in canada if the handling is that much better although I understand the q50 awd apparently does come with a sport suspension

I own a 2007 Infiniti G35x sedan and was able to drive a 2011 Infiniti G37x sedan for 2 weeks while Infiniti was fixing up my car for free since they messed up.

My 2007 Infiniti G35x sedan had much better handling than the 2011 G37x. Also, the 5AT tranny was much more aggressive than the 7AT. I felt much more confident on turns with my car than the G37x. The 2011 G37x felt like a cross between my car and the Lexus ES, (which definitely handled like a barge.) The steering definitely felt more tight on my car than the G37x.

However, I do like the gauge lighting and the navigation screen better on the 2010+ G37 compared to my G35 and the 2009 G37.

I am NOT the only one?? Da fuc??? We had a 2008 G35xS and I never recalled it handling as softly as my 2013 G37xS. Maybe they did change something... time to find an 07-08 to drive.

theres a thread on g35driver on how to make an 07+ x's fulltime rwd requires pulling out a plug that connects to the wire in the glovebox makes me wonder

how hard would be to do awd delete? remove the differential and do that mod to make the computer think the car is rwd can it be done ... so thats half way just got to figure out to remove the differential seems like it may be cheaper than trying to find a new car..

I think at that point i'd just get a new car... atleast then you aren't destroying the resale value of the car by cannibalizing it into something its vin number says its not.

I don't think it is the AWD system that is causing the problem. It gives slightly more front weight bias, but it really isn't that much. And to the best of my knowledge it does absolutely nothing in normal driving. It drives like an RWD car. It sounds like something changed in spring rates, bushings, etc. My '09 was noticeably better than my TL - less understeer, less body roll. No torque steer :-) No issue holding a line. Chasing a friend with a 330i sport around corners, no problem at all keeping up, and the BMW had summer tires.

While my 10XS doesn't handle as well as a rwd sedan, I don't think it is all that bad. The steering has a nice feel to it when compared to other awd cars I have driven such as the 535i and A4 and ISx50 GS350. I do wish they made the sedan like the coupe, but I think adding the S rear sway bar might help make a difference and is a cheap oem part. I think that a long with some dedicated summer tires should make my XS feel decent.
