Question on Front Chin

I am trying to get this piece from my local dealer
https://www.myg37.com/forums/support...12-models.html

I was just about to pull the trigger when I realized that this may be for the Sedan Sports (as in it has the "S" on the name right?) The whole time I was thinking it was just a sporty style chin

Can someone kindly verify if this would fit on a normal G37x Sedan (not "S" edition)

There is this one for non sport I assume, not sure if it looks as good

https://www.infiniti-techinfo.com/as.../T/L/1TL23.PDF

Also in your opinions does the chin do anything for enhancing the sporty/aggressive look of the car, or will it look weird on its own without side skirts and other body components

Thanks everyone!

yes the second non "S" is the lip you probably want.

I don't think it will look too bad. I think it looks worse when people get larger after-market wheels without any type of lowering.

Most of the front clearance will be reduced by the springs or coils that you use. I'm not sure about the non "S" lip but the "S" lip extends out more than down.

You can only use the non-sport bumper lip on your non-sport model.

Refer to this thread for look.

^ +1. the lip projects out front, not down. well, it may hang 1/8" lower just due to the chin lip material thickness, but that's it. it does increase the front overhang which could be an issue on steep driveways if one is lowered. i've had no problems and love the look.

FYI - install took me ~1hr working very carefully. everything comes with the OE kit for an easy DIY.

The lip may not lower the front chin, but if you lower the car, be very careful. I try to gauge the height of curbs and parking lot stops when pulling straight into them. When unsure I stop shy of them. There have been a couple of instances where I thought I had stopped shy and was actually resting the chin on the curb. My car is not lowered and if it was, well, it would have been ugly. I guess the best practice is to stay back regardless.

What you are looking for is a non sport lip. As for lowering the car with chin and scraping it everywhere, I avoid that by simply backing up in parking spots/driveway and using the rear camera as my gauge for distance/clearance.

Like others have said the lip won't hang lower but with it being extended out further it decreases the angle that you can safely approach steep drives. You WILL scrape the bottom of it quite a bit if you're lowered, at least at first. I still scrape mine sometimes but it's pretty rare now
