I went straight off the deep end and fully debadged my trunk. I really like the bare look.

But as you said, this is really a personal preference thing. We are all pretty particular about our cars, which is why we're all here. If we all did the same things, it'd be pretty damn boring.

Very well said, MACS... strong opinions are what makes these debadge threads such a riot. And the only reason I created one is because I relocated the plastic bits.

Carry on, Gentleman.

I wasn't going to post this, but since you made this thread I figured its perfect time. Ive been thinking about relocating the G37 on my car too. I have a different approach though. Here's a quick PS i did, a terrible job really but you get the idea. I was planning on taking everything off except the G37xs. My idea is to put it below the passenger reverse light. I feel it works well there with the trunk crease on the bottom. I'm sure somebody has done it before but I couldn't find anything.

I kinda like it , the only thing that looks off, but it looks off on all XS's is the small X followed by the large S. At least on the regular X, it's a small x but it not followed by another large letter. While you're at the PhotoShop you should try the same thing but have it centered on the trunk, but the same height as the above photo. Just for kix

That's an interesting idea, Redpit. Move it down a little, and left so that it follows the line of the tail light, while maintaining a balanced offset top, bottom and to the right. It works because your badge (G37xS) has enough width to fill that space nicely.

Here:

Almost similar to where the old G35 badge used to be. Either way, I think it's a good look for your car. Good enough to play with, at least. If you don't like it, then put it back, somewhere else, or nowhere at all.

Looks Rochester. Not feeling the relocate however.

And getting rid of the G37 and keeping just the red S reminds me of a corolla.

"G37NOS" ftw (fast and furious edition)!

@Rochester, one concern about having the letters inside the hood area is the heat. While the battery/brake covers don't get hot themselves, im sure the air around is plenty warm/hot. Wonder if they'll still be sticking at the end of summer.

Lol, yup. I asked for it, and now that I see it that is the first thing that came to mind. Thanks to rpm for saving me the trouble. The lonely S does not work.

I did this last week and absolutely love it. I left the badge on because it would look too bare IMO. I left the g37x because although it isn't an S, I like to let people know it isn't a g25. I kind of do like just the badge left on there though. Love that white!

Yes! The Corolla... Good call.

That 3M tape is pretty sturdy stuff, but I suppose I'll find out soon enough if it fails. On the upside, if it can't stand the heat, the pieces won't be going anywhere in that little box over the battery.

I'm enjoying following this thread b/c of the various respectful opinions expressed. It is so very true that if it looks good to YOU, then you're good. Forums like this attract people who love their cars.

As for the G37xS thought, it actually makes sense to me...after all the Sport is emphasized on the car!
