low pitch beep sound on car shut off?

Hey guys, today i've been hearing a weird sound when i shut off the car. it's some sort of beeping noise when the engine and electronics shut down...it happens after hitting the shut down button...its the last noise heard after everything shuts off...to describe what it sounds like: it kind of sounds like a heart rate monitor that u hear the hospital (yeah, weird i know) it's not too loud, but it's still concerning...and no i'm not leaving the car in D, R, or N lol. the beep also occurs when i lock the doors by clicking the button on the door...again when the car is off....any ideas?

Did you just get the car? Or you've had it for a while and this a new noise?

I had a similar situation on my brand new '12 I bought. Took it to the dealership and they couldn't recreate it. It was honestly hit or miss. When I returned from Iraq it was still happening. Dropped it off again with the dealership and it ended up being the electronic gas filler door lock. Fixed under warranty.

I am pretty sure you are hearing one of the locks squeak when they autounlock. My car and several loaners I have had did this. They replaced the drivers side lock on my car under warranty and it went away (I am pretty sure the mechanism could have been lubed instead of replaced and it also would have gone away). Good luck.
