G37xS vs G37s????
the x sport has the larger brakes & beefier sway bars too...
only differences are the
-lsd (which doesn't matter with the AWD)
-only available in AUTO with paddles
-non-staggered rims (which can be rotated front/back)

^^The context of this thread is about the XS sedan, not XS coupe. The two differ significantly, and not just in the # of doors. I'll probably get flamed for this again, but I'll say it anyways
The XS sedan is a very watered down compared to the XS coupe. The latter has all the sports bits, while the sedan only has the sports cosmetic parts (maybe sports seats?).

I know that runs contrary to reasonable expectations, but for some reason, INFINITI chose to hobble the xS Sedan as an appearance-only package. It seems nuts to me, but there it is.
However, from everything I've read so far, that has changed with the Q50. You get the sport suspension and brakes with the Q50S, regardless of AWD.
I am thinking of selling my '09xS. Not because of the smaller brakes (they are still excellent on the street) or the suspension differences (some pretty rough roads here ... with the 18's the xS is already pretty stiff). The ATESSA AWD system is one of the best out there - basically drives like RWD, minimal affect on performance.
But ... I am just sick of driving an automatic.

^ lol. i hear you. no matter how good these autos get, they still lack the all-important 3rd pedal. i've never driven a dual clutch manu-matic to see how great they are, but still, no clutch pedal.
i think the OP is talking about an AT sport though.

Flappy paddles, or ratchet-shifting, on a semi-automatic is more sales gimmick than purpose driven, IMO. The people who will try and tell you differently are either selling you something, or selling themselves something, or are actually on the track with a track-ready car... but not with a DD.
Living here in New England and with all the snow/rain climate we get...I'm glad I got my G37xS!
Even with the stock All-Season Dunlop Tires wasn't bad through the winter blizzard, due to having AWD helped.
With a few basic suspension mods, my xS handles pretty close to an S, I presume.

You mean he won't be able to waste his tires? Oh shucks..............

I'm too old for that $h!t!
ATTESA E-TS AWD is the best of both worlds, handles like pure RWD in normal condition; front starts to bite when slip in rear is detected. Read it somewhere that the x goes 0.1 second faster to 60, make sense in a high power application - X is moving forward when RWD is just spinning its tires. As long as there are raining snowing days, no way I would go back with RWD only.
Hmm. You know what? Forget all that.
Just enjoy your car without hurting anyone. rpm&my_G35 here isn't hurting anyone.Personally, I get what he's saying. There's no way I would go with AWD unless I had a stick, or a car where it just doesn't matter.
