Is this body shop website a shop good enough for my G37?
Is this body shop website a shop good enough for my G37?
The previous owner was a highway tail-gater (verified highway miles with rock chips) so you would think he would want intelligent cruise control but got everything else -nope.
So many rock chips, the lower bumper looks sand blasted, but the car masks it great at just 5 feet. Still going to get it professionally detailed for the chips then replace the expensive halogen flood lights entirely. They would clean up to look just Good so I'm going to replace or restore but unsure.
As for the body shop there are a couple that I like. I've decided on this one.
Collision Repair, Auto Painting | Auburn, ME because they advertise they will do actual chip repair and not immediately want to repaint the whole or 1/2 the car.
Prime Collision Center North | Maine | Saco | Portland | Augusta | Freeport | Auburn if just doing the whole car. I simply do not want to repaint half of the car, imperfection, for half price. Someone asked for $1700 to do a repaint to the front doors before. If repainting it all I should just redo'r completely right?
I would like any experienced opinions on these website description of the shop/work. They seem to be a fine body shops to have the car detailed and or repainted or should I just go with whomever one of my Infinity dealers use to recon their cars? Prime also owns an Infinity delership in Mass. Matter for resale if I change it to Obsidian Black?
I'll have some pictures stuffed in this thread soon so we can all see how much of a project car I bought
and I can get some help by those of you who love their cars, thankfully.

If it's real bad chipping might want to get a new bumper & have it repainted. You can usually get them in the $300 range, and if your dealer can get it you'll usually save on the shipping. Having one shipped to your door is up to $250 more. I was real lucky and found a bumper from Riverside Infiniti on Ebay already factory paint matched for $100 and only $70 to ship it.
I had a small dent (and probably a hundred small chips and dings) in my previous bumper and the local body shop wanted almost $700 to repair & repaint that one. So might be worth your time to look at other options.
