Showing off the new mods

Guys, just added my newest mods and wanted to show them off!

I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs and had a local guy do all paint work, I think he did a great job. I'd 100% recommend him to any Philly/Jersey area guys looking to get the headlights painted. If anyone wants his contact info just post here and I'll put up his number.

I had him: Paint the "floating" emblem, paint the headlights black with Grey projector shroud, Smoked the tails w/ reverse cutout and I got my calipers powder coated black.

You can see the theme I'm going for, I don't like anything too extreme I want it to look ALMOST factory just... better. haha

Next step for me is Wheels. I'm about 95% sold on getting 19" F14 Forgestars I just need some suggestions on offset size (I want the wheels just shy of being flush) and let me know if you think i should do black or gunmetal. Appreciate the feedback!

EDIT: Not sure why those pictures are upside down... sorry about the inconvenience.

Nice, mostly subtle details. Good work. The black window trim, and smoked headlights look fantastic on that color car. (And it took a while to orient my perspective to your upside-down picture of the headlight.)

The monochrome look on the front grille, however... that's not subtle, IMO. It's not quite right because of it. But I do like what he did with the emblem on the grille.

And now the red-S on the trunk is too red. Can you have him smoke that too? Not blacken it, just smoke.

Give consideration to going a darker shade in the rear-bumper cut-out area; (the lower valance.)

Nice look, grill looks real good w/ the emblem matching the car. I would go gunmetal on the wheels. Have you seen the dolphin gray Avante Gardes, they'd look sweet on that ride IMO.

Blnewt,

I use your DIYs and got a lot of inspiration from you, awesome to see you comment. The guy doing my car said he didn't like to buff down tail light tint; but having read your DIY, I said TRUST ME do it haha.

Funny thing, I was torn between the M310s and the F14s. But I like the "AMG" look of the f14s

Glad you found my DIYs helpful
As far as the wheels, can't go wrong either way, look forward to seeing F14s on your G should look

Looking good OP. Nice to see a local. Mind sharing your shop's info?

As others have said, gotta lower her As for the wheels, are you going for staggered or squared set up? I have staggered Forgestar CF5v on my AWD coupe (yes, we can run staggered on AWD) and love the big tire in the rear. I'm running a conservative 19x9+25 19x10+30 with 245/40 275/35 tires and is pretty flush on a modest drop. Since you just want something shy of flush I'd recommend 19x9 +30 19x10+35. My vote goes to gunmetal too.

Yea... His number is 856-745-7059 his name is Fabian. Great work as you see he gets a lot of exotics which are cool to see, made me trust him more too.

I'm gonna go square. I was thinking 19x9.5 +33 mm all around. I don't want to stagger simply to avoid issues when I need to rotate my tires...

Do you think that offset will work well? not opposed to going to 9 instead of 9.5, idk how much of a difference that half inch will make. And what kind of tire can I get in there? I don't want a super thin stretched tired.

I plan on doing the wheels first then drop around them, maybe eibach prokit... Not positive yet. Once I finish the cosmetics I turn my attention to the power!

I don't understand why people don't like chrome.

I dont know its just something about grey and black/dark! I think chrome takes away from the grey! Just my opinon! All these small touches are so big! Keep up the good work.

IMO it's all about the look you're after. More luxury or upscale or w/ certain paint combos the chrome looks just right. Something more aggressive or even understated, the black trim goes well. If you just black the trim on a stock G it won't go too well, just depends how you trim it out.
