Today is the day

Hello all, trading in my 01 Diamante for an 09 G37!!!! Sweet sweet car, have a question. I don't really care about the Nav package, but I wanted to know if bose comes in the base package for the G37 sedans?

Thanks for the reply. Another question, I was looking around the car yesterday and didn't see a hookup for an iphone. I know it comes with it, but where exactly in the car is it located? One last question, the dealer is going to offer me the 100k mile certified, but what are the stipulations of that 100k mile agreement?

The connection is in the center console, there's a cable that plugs into the iphone that may or may not be included. Otherwise there's the RGB plugs you can use to plug in through the headphone jack.

Premium and base are 2 different packages.

If they say Bose, then I would assume they're Bose. And if they are Bose, you have the premium package.

Could always give an Infiniti dealership your VIN and have them look it up for u if you're still unsure.

be carful of extended warranties on the car!!!!
all warranties are different and many of them can be structured in a lot of different ways.
often times the f&i dept will tell you that the warranty runs from date of purchase and mileage at purchase but unfortunately that is not the case.
just look real close at the exp date/mileage because some of the warranties sold run from "date of first use" or "in-service date" which changes the game completely.
also keep in mind that ext warranty companies are usually owned by the blanket corporation that owns the car dealership you are purchasing from, so they will be looking out for themselves and not you(the buyer) when selling you a warranty.....

I am getting it from Joe Bullard Infiniti dealership. Ok so I will check out the fine print of when the mileage ends on the extended warranty. Also, do they require you to keep all receipts of oil changes, etc to meet the criteria of the extended coverage?

Nope. If is says Bose on your speaker grilles then you have the Bose sound system. Which means your car isn't a base model, but a Journey model with at least the Premium Pkg. I'm not even sure if the G Sedan came in a Base version in '09, I know it doesn't now.

Premium Pkg includes both Bose stereo and moonroof (among other options). If you have those 2 things your car has the Premium Pkg.

The only time that will come into play is if you have a major mechanical failure and they are trying to deny the claim due to "neglect" according to the maintenance schedule.
I am a service writer for an Infiniti dealer and I have never seen a claim denied because of that, but like I said before, ext warranty companies are owned by the dealers and at the end of the day they are an insurance company and they will try anything to not have to write a check.
So it is always best to maintain the car according to a "manufacturer recommended" service schedule.

Betty, your statement is not true, I looked at a base model yesterday with no Nav package, and it was equipped with bose labeled speakers.
