look what i found on my G...

i walked out into my garage and what did i see? my rear fender stuffed into the wheel well on my G. wtf!? murphy's law is always in affect when it comes to trying to keep my car safe.

Please review these pics and give me your thoughts as to what caused this. the plastic part of the rear fender was bent into the wheel well like somebody kicked it in. my wife has been driving the car to work and to the gym. my guess is this happened in the gym parking lot. i took these pictures after i pulled the bent plastic back out of the wheel well. there is a slight scuff where the impact could have occured but no scrapes. the missing paint was not scratched off but fell off do to the plastic being creased at that point. the crazy thing is their was no damage to the metal above the plastic. it was a low blow.

Must be do to the overabundance of Aholes these days, seems to be way too common most everywhere. What really sucks is the damage is probably right at your deductible

You could have taken pictures before bending it back. It would be too much for a door bang, but not enough for a side swipe. It could be hit by a runaway shopping cart at pretty high speed.

Looks like someone didnt know how to park into a stall and smacked into the part that bent.

I see your in Chicago, most major cities have this hazard. I am in LA and first two weeks I had my G I got two door dings, my buddy picks up his M3 and some cyclist hits the passenger door leaving mark from his pedal at an intersection.

^^ I was going to say the same thing.

Every vehicle my wife has had over the years we've been together has front and rear corners that look like this. She never seems to know how or when it happens.
Also, she never drives my car.

hahaha yep, she is going to have to drive our leased car from now on...

i was thinking it could be from a high curb but its wierd there is no scraping from the cement of the curb into the fender/bumper. i havent looked at the bottom of the splash guard yet, i think there should be scrapes there if this happened. im going to add some touch up to it for now.

Somebody backed into your car...and drove off. New bumper cover and paint will bring it back to new. Irritating, but could have been much worse had the rear fender been affected.
