Saying goodbye!

I was a proud owner of a 2010 G37 sedan. I loved the car, but I wanted a manual because I have only driven a stick before this car. I just could not deal with the fact that the car is not totally in my control. So, I started looking for 6mt G37 coupe's and sedan's. One day my sales buddy from a BMW dealership calls me and tells me he just got a vehicle in from lease. It's a fully loaded(it has every package BMW offers) Black on Black 2010 135i M-Sport 6spd. I was never a fan of the way the 1er looked, but when i saw this car with it's M style body panels and interior pieces, i loved it. After driving it, thats when in my mind I decided, this is the car that fulfills my driving needs! My buddy hooked me up by talking to his manager and selling it to me before it was even listed as 'for sale' at the dealership. I am not here to bash the G, I still think the G coupe looks sexier than my 1er, but its the way the 135i drives, the G cannot match up to it. I feel so much more connected with the car and the road in the 1 compared to G. There are also other minor things like the paint quality and the way the door sounds when you shut it (Sounds like I am closing a cheap Toyota door). Once again I am not here to bash it, I am just saying that it shares too many parts with Nissan cars and I don't want that in a luxury car. If the next G is a real drivers car, I will pick that way before the new BMW F30 with its crappy electronic steering.

Happy driving!

Not a fan of the 1 series, myself. It screams "I can't really afford a BMW, but look! I have one!"

Not trying to bash, of course. Good luck to you and I hope you're thrilled with your new car.

Hope that works for you.....my personal experience is that the BMW will eat you alive with maintenance and repair expenses once its out of warranty. I no longer drive a BMW for that reason alone!! My advise: enjoy it for a year or two and then dump it with no regrets!!!!

I think you are getting confused with the 1M....mine is a 135i with the M-Sport package.

I was going to say the same - I believe 1-series M's were a 1 year only deal...and that year was 2011.

The car pictured is a 'normal' 135. I think..

Still - nice car which I am sure will be a lot of fun for op - ENJOY!

Drove a 135 w/ the DC AT, was a total blast to fling around and really does put a grin on the face. Having owned a "troubled" 02 745Li I doubt I'd be going back to Bimmers anytime soon, but when everything is working they're one of the best.

Loved the way the 135 drove and looked. Good luck with the car. My only gripe with the 135 is it's too small, even for me.

Well, shut my mouth! I'll be damned if the 1 series doesn't cost as much or more than the 3. WTF is up with that?

Still not a fan, though, but it's your car... so as long as you're a fan... Enjoy!

Wish you good luck with the BMW paint. It turned me off when I was cross shopping with the G37. I guess you have not really tried a cheap Toyota door, have you?
