OP, I respect your priorities in finding a satisfying driving experience with your DD. You would have probably found what you wanted in a 6MT G, but since you already had the non-Sport Sedan, it's understandable that you'd move into something else.

But dear God, that car was beaten bad with an ugly stick. No matter how awesome the drive, I would cringe every time I approach it. (It's kind of how I feel about the WRX.) So just look away until you settle into the driver's seat, and you'll be fine.

Happy trails. And be sure to get the extended warranty... because German Engineering.
