Hey guys, I couldn't get my car started and I stupidly put in the metal part of the key instead of the remote part into the manual started. The metal key is now stuck :-\. Any ideas on how to get it out?
"manual started"???? What is that? Do you mean the fob vag? The fob vag likes the fat fob in there not the skinny metal key...
Wiggle it out carefully. Use a flashlight to see what you're doing.
Yes the fob hole, sorry. I stuck the metal key instead of the FOB inside the FOB hole and it is now stuck. I tried pulling it out but it doesn't seem to want to come out. I don't want to damage the compartment either.

The only reason for separating the metal key from the FOB is to lock the glove compartment to prevent access to the trunk when leaving the car with a valet.
There is no reason to ever take the FOB out of your pocket because as soon as you are near your car you can just press the button on the door handle or the trunk button and you are granted access.
Just get into the vehicle and press the start button. In my case the clutch pedal must be pressed to the floor prior to pressing the start button.
You are under warranty so just visit the dealer and let them have a look at what you did before you damage something.

What?
Why would you lock the glove box to prevent access to the trunk when there's a trunk button on the FOB that you need to give the valet to drive your car?

A switch inside the glove compartment disables the fob trunk release and dash trunk release.
