Installing an OEM front sport chin spoiler - Not that hard?
Just ordered an OEM front sport chin spoiler for my 2012. Downloaded the instructions and was looking them over to decide if it was worth $140 to have the dealer put it on this.

Like this, only A54 red and a lot cheaper from my dealer:

It doesn't look *too* bad to install I don't think, just thought I'd ask if there were any things to look out for. I've put on the splash guards myself and I see this spoiler uses templates for drilling, 3m tape and the click-lock pins.
Thoughts?

It's really weird pricing. Graphite Shadow, Malbec Black, and maybe Obsidian Black are usually $100 more for the exact same part. I paid $329, which I was told was the dealer cost, for mine (graphite shadow).

I checked a couple of red parts and they were chearper than the white ones I bought prior.

Is this front spoiler one peice that runs all the way across the front end or is it 2 seperate pieces under each foggy. In others words is the piece in the middle under the grill part of the spoiler?
I'm thinking of installing one. Does the spoiler look right with the rest of the lines of the car? Or does it look out of place unless you put on side skirts (which I don't wanna do) Can anyone post pics from a side and front angle?

For some reason, the moonlight white always cost more. maybe it's the tri coat, pearl thing. But you got a great deal. Installing shouldn't be too hard, but if you can find an independent shop that can do it for under $100, I would do that.

Here's a thread w/ pics using the templates, it's for 07-09 journeys but the basic install is the same. It's a fairly simple install although I just removed the rubber weatherseal that runs on the top of the lip, it kept curling under when I tried to fit the spoiler and was a bit of a PITA, had it on for about 5 months w/ no problems. The templates make it an easy DIY for the most part.
